We wanted to keep Cork we offered him a new deal as soon as we could! Part of his old deal prevented us from doing so any earlier. That from the horses mouth. That is what makes a mockery of our right back recruitment though - we signed 2 full backs yet prefer to play a centre half out of position. Why sign Martina...oh yeah he was cheap but surely even in L1 there are better options. Waste of wages signing Martina then not playing him. With 3 non creative midfielders we needed full backs to give us width - Targett apart from 1 occasion last night never goes past his man and delivers too deep and so did Yosh that gives defenders ages to see the cross. Strange recruitment - I like Romeu, Stek and Caulker makes sense - Clasie needs a bit of time and can't judge so far although some melts on here written off already but Martina not being picked can't see that at all.
