I thought Smallbone was very good again last night. He was good against Rotherham too he does a lot of linking it like Steve Davis and Nick Holmes used to. The midfield of Rothwell, Flyn and Smallbone really worked. Rothwell drove forward committing players , Flyn is quality in this league.

Well Shea was very good there tonight so we have another option but Bree will be back soon too

Good performance second half although Adams should have put us one up in first half. How some could say Shea was bad baffles me he hardly put a foot wrong in unfamiliar position. Won challenges never gave winger room and broke forward using it well. Rothwell also looked decent drove forward well and played well with Flyn promising for future now getting to grips with playing and role. Mara first half was poor but he went into middle for his first goal looks better there but his second was great strike from wide again. Defence was excellent especially Meghoma who looks good prospect. Jan was great again. Watford really only had one deflected shot hit bar can’t remember Lumley making save . The 2 SAMs should have scored both hitting post and 5 wouldn’t have been far wrong

So CB can’t play RB ? In Holgate case maybe but we have played both Stephens and Bednarek there in past. He is still getting fit so irrelevant

As commanding a performance as you can get, their keeper was MOTM tells it all. Good chat with their fans in The bluecoat who said the keeper is best player . Bednarek and THB superb but 2 stand out for me were Manning(crossing not so good ) but got forward well, decent defensively, good interceptions , no gifted passes and Smallbone who did lots of fetching and covering and kept it moving unlucky not to score. Thats 4 away league wins on the trot for me and loving it you can stick your VAR where sun doesn’t shine but financially we need promotion. Stayed up and went to Kelham Island Percy St great street food, music and craft beer if in Sheffield check it out even for us old gits it’s nice place.

Well done management for keeping key players. Stronger in midfield I think we lose Charlie’s flair but Rothwell and Brooks won’t lose it as much in dangerous positions key with the games we have left. Defensively we need Bree back but Holgate was awful at Watford and way he just turned his back in second half and let player just run by him was awful defending. Jack 3rd and Charles as 4th centre half should be ok Bednarek is on 8 bookings though but THB is our best defender will be a star. Adams staying helps knows what’s expected but think we will see AdamA more central now.

Aribo, Rothwell(some of us giving him a chance) Brooks, Sully and Ezozie can provide the threat without giving it away as much . Charly will be back and it’s only 6 months he has to settle in another country too so he will have to hit ground running at Juve if wants game time. I think this balance the books after recent loans for squad player.

I’m still laughing at this beauty from him : Martin seems to prefer old cast off journeymen to raw young highly gifted players, which rather explodes the myth that he excels at developing players. How anyone can say Flyn, THB and Brooks are journeymen lol Ezozie and SAA are in squad too!

I used to like the way we looked at Scandinavia for players Tessem, Soldveldt, Niemi etc certainly Brentford have had some success there. I like this current model for this league.
