  1. SGH has a slot right outside its doors of A&E for such cases and its not widely known. It has a time restriction but enough time to get sorted. I also now know of several cheaper options very close to SGH than use the stupidly priced car park. As I explained in my previous thread the SGH staff park&ride is not popular as there was an incident where 40 cars were damaged by idiots running amok in the "bull ring" where it was located.
  2. Where the fck am I jumping on the NHS bandwagon? I have explained exactly where and how they can achieve this at SGH but as it doesn't suit your agenda and again I proved you wrong about hospital parking in town centres...I gave 4 examples you just throw that **** line in at the end! Pray you don't end up having to go to casualty and sit there for 4 hours at SGH or have to visit a sick relative. Read what I posted there is no reason why the charges are that high! nowhere have I said it should be free!!!
  3. TBH I am not totally against minimal car parking charges but there is no way anyone can justify the expense at SGH - £6 is a joke its not as if sometimes you have a choice but to go there! There are enough spaces to host an attendant and keep the site up together - but we all know where that money really goes. The bit in bold made me laugh......have you ever caught a bus in Southampton from the SGH to town? Or to that matter any Soton bus...who would choose that as any means of transport is mad, they are smelly dirty, rude bus drivers, stopping at the millions of traffic lights in this city and costs a small mortgage.
  4. Actually Tom(Lead) played guitar at the BIC on a couple of numbers.
  5. Fair comments but why cant we have two decent defenders, a mobile ball winning midfielder who can pass to his own team, two pacey wingers who threaten defences rather than programme sellers and a big forward in the Howerd mould supplemented with the odd Lallana type..thats all I ask as am sure that formation would get us up to the play-offs its worked for quite a number of teams! Ok there are odd exceptions like Swansea but for every one of them there is a Burnley/Stoke
  6. Winchester and the QA are not in town centres either are they nor is Poole! I will tell you why most don't use the Genral park and ride facility......40 cars damaged by a nutter going on the rampage! Why should people be charged £6 to park their car - its utter bullshine to say its to discourage other people parking their - what other businesses are sited near the hospital? The cemetry and people are dying to get in there!
  7. But Wotte was part of the management team with JP that bought in that useless bag of ****e we had on loan last season. Whatever anyone pretends he was here all last season and in a managerial capacity selecting players - if there is an archive left on the OS have a look if you dont believe me they were championing Wotte and JP as a team. What contacts will Wotte have in this league? How many players has he bought over from Holland...one thats hardly a network of talent. The thought of Wotte's paceless diamond formation fills me with horror again for next season.
  8. Good summary, no pace, no width and no quality summed our season up for me.
  9. Since when has the Soton General been in the town centre yet charges astronomicallly for visitors and out patients!
  10. Well we are not in a position to add anyone yet are we? Until Pinnacle have actually taken over and I am still deeply concerned it may go wrong our squad will not be sorted. Players are mercenaries and will go where the money is...Gareth Barry is a classic example of that why Man City and not Liverpool or stay at Villa who finished higher? I am 99.9% certain Forest wil offer far more than he will be getting here plus its no secret McGoldrick wants to move back to Nottingham.
  11. I heard a couple of weeks ago that Surman was off. If a player and his moneygrabbing agent decide its in his best interest then he will go. I understand what you are getting at GM, that even if we have a multi-millionaire the exodus of quality is still happening. In the Lynam letter it stated that the club will have to be run as a pretty much self sufficient - I expect to lose Surman, Lallana, Rasiak, Saga and Schneiderling at least its the law of the jungle as we are now Div 3 and spent years raiding other clubs for their talent and now its our turn.
  12. Saw them at the BIC last year...brilliant live.
  13. Also on BBC tickertape
  14. I see that Kaka is off to Real Madrid for £56m.....they could of bought us 4 times for that much!
  15. How can one backer be a consortium?
  16. Please don't I hated that Blackpool ****... Anyone that needs a drum can't manage an atmosphere. I have heard SMS rock several times withoutand musical instruments like Norwich, Wolves in the FA cup, Sheff Utd, Arsenal in the 3-2 win, Tottenham and the 3-0 Skates win so the place can be as good as The Dell. My advice is to ignore web forums ;-) people state stuff due to anonymity and wouldn't dare say it to peoples faces in real life. Most of what gets posted is said for effect and response to get post counts up.
  17. Well they had a massive part in it that they are! Who replaced a decent manager with 2 jokers and relied solely on youth? Who alienated the senior players telling them they "were surplus to requirements"? Who changed the whole atmosphere at the club from positive and together to alienation?
  18. The one major problem in all of this is agents...leaches, vultures and the biggest culprits in why football is insuch a mess with wages IMO. All can see the 10% signs flashing before their eyes from their clients who have been relegated and feel too good to play in the 3rd division.
  19. Didnt Burnley get up with playing, agressive, committed football with a game plan? I didn't see too much tippy tap passing in the games I saw them play on TV or at SMS.
  20. Funny how we cling to things like signs...I posted the other month that driving by The Saints pub in Millbrook there was a sign - Under New Management re-opening in May.
  21. As a knuckledragger can you explain when did we exactly play a beautiful passing game in the last 2 seasons? All I had to watch this season was 25 passes to get out of our half and the ball ending up with our keeper!! Why can't we have a mixture of aggression, committed, ballwinning and skillfull players all playing to a game plan? Whats wrong with 2 great big decent centre halves, a ball winner in the middle, 2 pacey wingers a lump of a forward and someone feeding off him? What do you preferr 25 passes and the ball with our keeper or 5 passes and the ball in their net?
  22. Add Leandre Griffet to that list...he scored against Blackburn from the subs bench and was then dropped totally. Ok he could be a bit of a knob at times but I watched him loads in the Ressies(remember this was when we were playing against loads of Prem sides) and he was on fire. KD needs the North to feel at home and settled and WGS didnt see this - although to be fair KD was one of the laziest bast8rds in the squad at that time.
  23. I can think of one very close to here that did Ok though. Some managers just fit in at places...others don't. I have a bet with my dad that if the UAE take over he will be back by Christmas ;-)
  24. NP Duncan football is all about opinions and am not surprised some players hated him, look at Kevin Davies who never responded to WGS run/run/run type of training yet thrives on it at Bolton. People moaned about Sir Alf Ramsey and his wingless wonders. Like I said he won't come back here anyway and will have bigger club chasing him.
