I don't know enough of Wanyama to say which one he would replace, just going by the the reviews i've had of him, looked very good against Barcelona last year, my guess would be Wanyama and Schneiderlin first choice, only a hunch though.

Very true, bit of a catch 22 really, they want to progress and sign better players, but keeping the current ones is important too, maybe someone like Byram from Leeds or Trippier from Burnley. As you said, very hard to get anyone to come here if they know they are second fiddle.
