I'm a little concerned about our penalty taker though. Two kicks taken, and kinda sorta half a goal to show for it. He certainly needs to be more incisive when we a actually DO get a spot kick.

Always_SFC, sorry, but yeah, you did ask for a ban one time. It was concerning a fan being taken ill during a game, and a comment I made about it. I really don't have a problem with you though, and I mean that from the heart of my bottom. I won't say another word about it. This is not the thread anyway for such time wasting.

The season is not over, we are having a poor spell and nobody died. I would have preferred a better day, but this is footy. I just hope we can end the season on a higher note than the past couple of weeks.

Me too. I'm still strangely optimistic.

Saints failed in the final third, but the ref ruined the game within the first ten minutes. Yes, Saints should do better, but the ref disgraced the whole institution today.

While I agree that Saints have not done the job, the ref set the mood of the game VERY early on.

This is not a defeat for Saints. It's a defeat for standards and sportsmanship. Not by Liverpool, but by the establishment.

The point about the Lovren handball is that it seems ones like those can be given or not these days. Most refs would use a situation like that to even out any decisions he may have had doubts about before. He chose not to, so I assume the ref thinks he is doing a great job so far.

These decisions getting crazy. Liverpool players are now allowed to handle the ball in any position.
