  1. Complete bull****. If this happens I will streak around Fratton Park on a match day, in front of both fans.
  2. Lived in Holland for a few months. The accent and the language drove me round the bend eventually. Then I get hope and Poortaloo and WTF have got "the boysh playing sheckshy voetball!"
  3. Don't let off a really loud juicy... oh the lounge, bugger.
  4. That match probably takes the "Best atmosphere" award. I was laughing my nuts off at the second goal. The o.g. where one MK CB hoofed the ball into the other CBs face and it went straight into the net.
  5. I've got Mike on FB anyway. Mike if you would be so kind... P.S. Will be traveling down from Brizzle for this, so would like to make a decent day out of it. Anyone fancy some pub afterwards? P.P.S. How many teams are you likely to get in this?
  6. You can probably count me in. Where abouts is it?
  7. A chain is only as strong as it's weakest link. Look at the start of this season. Great boardroom, owner and manager, crap squad and we struggled.
  8. You're right, I miss read that article thought he'd been at Hartlepool all season. That's not too bad a record.
  9. I'm sure there is nothing in these rumours. Without the minus 10 we'd be in 2nd place at the moment (I'm fairly confident we'd have beat Gillingham with our strongest side and more motivation). Cortese isn't an idiot, I think we're getting paranoid after the Lowe years.
  10. Can't really remember him. 9 goals for Hartlepool isn't all that exciting though. IPWT.
  11. It was a multitude (Is that a word? If it isn't it should be, it's quite a good one) of factors, none of which is solely responsible. It's been done to death but, in roughly chronological order: - Lowe putting us into admin a few days too late, which dumped the -10 on this season. - The whole Pinnacle/MLT/Fialka tyre kicking lark wasting time. - The late takeover and appointment of Pardew resulting in no preseason. - The resulting poor start to the season - Building a new team and "gelling" - Failing to win away to some of the crap teams with s**t pitches. - An unusually strong League 1 with a very high points tally needed for a playoff spot. Nothing REALLY cost us promotion, it's a lot of factors combined.
  12. For me it was our trip to Bristol Rovers in the 1st round of the FA Cup. "We're the wet side/dry side" and "You only score when it's raining" I did have a very childish chuckle at all the Wotsit songs aimed at Lewington .vs Dons. Also "what the f**k is on your head/ you f**king look like a birds nest" against Price last weekend.
  13. Rovers in the Cup was pretty good too. We're the wet side and you only score when it's raining chants were class.
  14. The one best moment, not the game or result. For me, Waigo's last gasp equaliser against Norwich in the JPT gets it. I went bananas. Honourable mentions to Thomas' howitzer against Ipswich and the fifth going in against Walsall.
  15. Southend and Oldham were pretty good. Colchester and MK Dons were sh*te. Didn't get to Charlton, Orient or Gillingham. Maybe next year.
  16. Le Tiss was an Oxford Utd cast off, I'd take a player I rate regardless of who doesn't want him.
  17. This time it's personal. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/europe/8658738.stm
  18. I'd loan him and Martin out for a year TBH. Haven't seen Martin, but I'd take Trotman over Seaborne any day. I just don't get that signing. He was hardly special at Exeter and I haven't been overly impressed by him since.
  19. For me next seasons Squad would be: Goalkeepers Davis Bialkowski Pernecky Fullbacks Orr Semi Harding Mills Centre Backs Fonte Jaidi Thomas Trotman Beevers Wingers Antonio Lallana Puncheon +1 (Left footed, not Holmes) Central midfielders Hammond Morgan Chaplow +1, creative type. Surman in an ideal world Forwards Lambert Barnard Waigo Beattie So good bye to Pulis, Molly, Forecast, Poke, Gillett, James, Wotton, Connolly and Perry.
  20. Is that a very long cat with two heads?
  21. Don't think anyone's mentioned James Beattie for a couple of pages now, so I'll just remind everyone.
  22. 15/30 It seems I litterally can't tell my arse from my elbow.
  23. And how did you arrive at that conclusion?
  24. Well relegation is hardly going to spring them into action when it comes to investment.
