  1. I dunno. Reckon it could catch on.
  2. If we scored a last minute winner to seal promotion (I'm guessing that's what's going on there) then I could see the argument. You can't just go running onto the pitch willy nilly whenever you feel like it. There have been huge fights, players and official assaulted etc. because of pitch invasions.
  3. Scousers eating baked beans in Benidorm for some reason.
  4. Tell that to Whisky George.
  5. Just get a set of walkie talkies with active noise cancelling headsets. You can even ask someone on the other side of the room what they want to drink, whilst you're stood at the bar.
  6. I agree, we can't be doing that badly financially at all. Our average attendance this season is 20,982. That's 3,000 up on last season's average of 17,849. 3,000 people over 23 homes games at say £20 a ticket is an extra £1.4m in itself. Hartlepool have the lowest attendances this season, 3443 being the average. We've take £8m more than them in League gates alone this season, assuming our tickets are the same, which I doubt they are. We've lost Euell, BWP, Skacel, Saganowski and gained Fonte, Lambert, Waigo and Jaidi. John and Rasiak were out on loan last season, so they don't really count. I'd say overall we were about even on the wage bill. Plus there was a 5 game FA Cup run with a sell out against Pompey, which I doubt we'd planned on financially. Then there's the small matter of 6 games in the JPT, including another sell out against MK. I'm not sure if we got any of the cash from tickets for the final, but 45,000 fans at £40 a pop is £1.8m The stadium debt, including interest was about £2m a year (I've heard, don't take that as gospel). That's been wiped out. We didn't go into admin making massive losses last season. It was a matter of tens of thousands I think.
  7. SFC haven't created the news, the media has. I think it's more a case of NC never actually being on the pot. He's in the kitchen baking muffins whilst his neighbours are out in the street telling everyone he's having a sh*t.
  8. Football needs wage capping. Unfortunately this would apparently come under a restriction of trade and therefore be illegal (apparently). Perhaps we need tougher penalties of clubs with financial irregularities. Automatic relegation for any club which defaults on ANY payments due to it's dreditors. Expulsion from the Football League for any club which goes into administration. Jail sentences for those found to be negligent with the running of a football club. £70k for Boa Morte...
  9. I'm confused by this. How hard is it exactly just to NOT spend the money you were planning on spending on an ST? Why can't you save the money you were going to spend on installments in April and May for November and December?
  10. Can we at least put the "Liebherr not at the Game because he was unhappy at Pardew" one to bed. It is far more likely he was just unable to get here because of the ash cloud over Switzerland. Or he could have been busy and had something more important to do than attend a meaningless friendly against Southend. As far as I can remember Liebherr was at the Carlisle game. So what are we suggesting, he was happy before that game, but it was a meaningless defeat by our second string at Gillingham which has cost Pardew his job? They haven't released any statement ST details yet either. I doubt this is because they are getting rid of season tickets.
  11. Expected by who? The Daily Heil? A poster I've never met who's just got a text from a mate who works in the Megastoe? I'm sure as heck not expecting Pardew to get fired.
  12. Didn't know there were two hotels TBH. We stayed in the one in the top two photos on here. http://www.thomson.co.uk/destinations/africa/egypt/egypt-red-sea/sharm-el-sheikh/hotels/hilton-sharks-bay-resort.html?ito=PPC-goo&itc=sharks%20bay%20hilton&gclid=CIDNvamzyqECFVOY2AodFS8Neg
  13. I'd take: Hart Green James Richards Johnson Terry Ferdinand Jagielka Dawson Cole Baines Lennon Walcott Lampard Gerrard Barry Young Milner Rooney Crouch Defoe Bent Heskey
  14. Go on http://www.teletextholidays.com and have a look at Sharm El Sheikh. It's amazing the variety of 4 and 5 star hotels they have for under £400 quid. Truth be told, their 5 star hotels are probably only really 4 stars, but they are still very nice. I stayed in the Hilton in Sharks Bay last year for £350, all inclusive. Food, booze the lot.
  15. The rumour being someone on here going, "OMFG West Ham are sh*t, they're going to sack Zola and bring in the 7th best manager in League 1 who was sacked by a different boad 3 years ago."
  16. They appoint Paul Lambert, Danny Wilson, Alan Curbushley, Glenn Roeder, Lee Clark, Phil Parkinson or Simon Grayson?
  17. Want Millwall to go up as I reckon they will be strongest of the lot next season. Most want Swindon to stay down for three reasons. It's local for me, I can't see them repeating this years success and we owe them a good old fasioned arse whooping. Indifferent to Huddersfield, but it is a long way to travel for an away game. Charlton are good, but will probably sell rather than buy with their financial mess.
  18. Well, now we know two of the clubs he's not going to. Hope he stays personally.
  19. F**kin' 'ell I'd forgotten about you. Used to start these threads every day about 5 years ago IIRC.
  20. I Facebook like this. Why can't Amanda dress like that on BGT...
  21. Mit Gerkin?
  22. Green Marian Pahars Heineken The Inside Man Ice Aston Martin DB9 Coupe Natalie Portman (Not for any films, she's just uber hot)
  23. "Is nice. I like!"
  24. This place isn't a patch on youtube. You could watch a video about oragami and there'd still be nutters arguing about the Iraq war, the World Cup and everything in between.
