I saved my last post of today to say: "WWWWOOOOOAH YEAHHHHH" YOU REDDDDDSSSSSSSSSSSSS Sod it, I'm going to pay a fiver now
-
basically they get called because they've been talked before and who else are the journos meant to call. FFS

Luvvie as in Lowe Luvvie, Crouch Luvvie blah blah blah Duck hunting / hunter Ruddy faced / Ruddy basically, lets stop talking about all the past crap (and read my history, I hated Lowe etc.) and concentrate on the football, and supporting the club - I remember when we were all united, both in the love of Saints and occasionally in the hatred of a manager / rival (I don't remember any Branfoot-luvvies, though the internet was the Saintslist in those days). oh yeah: Branfoot Potter Ali Dia BWP etc.

Strictly speaking he just has no contract as we don't hold his registration details like we do for the out of contract players.

do you win a prize by being top of page 100?

I'm totally ****ed off with the whole thing as well, but -30 and L1 for me - there's a fair chance that at least 2 other L1 clubs go under and don't get CVA. If there's a 3rd then we have a real chance

If Saints do go down at least it will mean no more Saints Web Forum "I'm better than you" posts that either troll for a response (and succeed in this case) or look to keep the divided fan base divided. basically I'll be able to get through the day reading a lot less **** from ****s. a very small crumb of comfort

We've no choice in the matter, whoever stumps up the money, signs the deal with the administrator and the Football League and then pays the staff wages will then own Southampton Football Club. At that point, I can't help thinking that, whoever it is we as fans stop thinking about might haves, what ifs and whatever and think about supporting the club - because at least we'll have one.

Why Fry could make the Swiss could walk away
so22saint replied to Fitzhugh Fella's topic in The Saints
Heh, I love all this Fry has failed, lets replace Fry talk. Fact is, we as fans can do nothing about it and Fry is just the administrator. His job is to get the best deal for the creditors - he will have worked out a price for breaking the club assets up (say £8m) and legally cannot accept an offer below this. If Pinnacle or the Swiss lot don't conclude a deal, then he'll break up and sell the assets, take his own bill and the creditors 1p in the pound or whatever and then move on to the next disaster. Nothing we can do about it at all unfortunately, except watch and hope. -
we're dead.

not Saints related - whack it in the other forum -
Do you think the Pinnacle bid will succeed? Poll
so22saint replied to Big_Bald_Si's topic in The Saints
I don't think this poll helps at all and that it should be taken down personally. I also hope that TL realises that this forum tends to be at the end of the fan scale known as internet warriors and winging ****s and isn't representative of the average fan (and I include myself in the forum category btw). -
I bet it's Marc Jackson :-)

More worrying then is that the parent company has been dissolved so if you follow that logic, they may well not be awarding a golden share, as the company that owned it (according to them) has gone - it's the same argument as the CVA stuff as SLH isn't getting one - it's gone! It's all ******** though - the FL can let in anybody they like really, at any point so there's nothing stopping them letting us enter on -10 pts other than a worry about setting a precedent, which frankly is rubbish as they seem to take everything on a combination of who is the "biggest" and who has the most influence at the lodge.

They were following Oliver Bierhoff!

Simon, PM me your email address. Last year (and it's the last time I post this I promise) I helped build goalrun (http://www.goalrun.com) which uses the data from football.mitoo.co.uk (I also migrated this to a new server so if anybody here plays on the lower leagues and has noticed that it's now both fast and stable, that was me!) Anyway, the owner of Goalrun would be interested in this I'm sure and I'd be happy to introduce you. Jim

It's not really sky, it's Football League Interactive. When I was building Goalrun (http://www.goalrun.com) last year I got to visit their offices in Lancaster Gate and meet the FLi's CEO - we had a bit of a laugh about Southampton's then Chairman and talked about the fact that running an FLi website would be cheaper than our own (saints this is) so I was surprised that old red cheeks hadn't gone for it. Anyway, lots of changes in the pipeline. I also got to lift one of the Premiership trophies as it was on a stand in a corridor. At least somebody with a Saints connection has! :-)

Perry and Clive on Nes at ten talking about...
so22saint replied to ooohTerryHurlock's topic in The Saints
Agreed, like Sydney and San Francisco, the water should be made a feature of the city. From leisure world (and what a hideous lump of tin that is when the Skates were planning Gunwharf) to town key the water access should be opened up with a walk / cycle way with businesses incentivised to open up along it. I agree Soton isn't South London, and it's not Totton where I grew up (which is another, similar, tale of woe) but it really does look tired once you walk out of the shopping malls. Talking of which I went into East Street last year for the first time since the 80s - nice of Southampton to have an entire mall that caters for emos and goths It all went down hill when the council demolished a bit of the bar gate for traffic.... -
I was thinking about this as well - if I was going to watch a lower league team, I should really go and watch Winchester otherwise I'm just a glory hunter...
-
Well by the looks of this board we don't seem to be Southampton United either :-) I suggest: Red Star Southampton Stauer Southampton Southampton Yoof Woolston Ferry Academical

The creditors are Aviva and Barclays I take it - they're both in financial ****e so I think "greedy" isn't so much the word as "desperate" Either way, I don't think Fry is particularly to blame for this - one of the things that's struck me about this whole sorry episode is that everybody on here still wants to blame somebody, Fry, Aviva, Barclays etc. whereas, as before, there's *nothing* we can do about it. The blame game's pointless really - this comes from a bloke who couldn't help blaming Lowe - and I still do for where we've got to, but really, what difference does it make.... :-(
-
That would be cool as I could follow Saints on a website built (in part) by my own fair hands: http://rymanleague.goalrun.com/
-
What about if we got Hoddle in? :-)
-
yep :-(
