Possibly he was referring to it being Brighton's pre season?
-
Oh, I don't know. I am sure the hotel, the pool and the weather were very nice.

If I was TBH I would probably claim that I was worried about my wellbeing and would be on the next plane to Israel.

Maybe they have got one of their "High Net Worth/Low Common Sense" individuals to underwrite the collection of the pledges?
-
Indeed, its clear that the cupboard is bare for paying anything up front and with Chainrai appearing not to want any future payments guaranteed its a fairly clear indicator that any such payments are not to be counted on.
-
Going though the news article: Not Gone Yet Not Gone Yet Not Gone Yet Not Gone Yet
-
The counter argument is that by leaving it as late as possible they may be hoping to force the hand of Birch/Chainrai to offer them a better deal than what they have currently been offered.

Someone should tell Bari to ask about football creditors and the unused parachute payments on liquidation.
-
Which can be read as they are prepared to go but not on the pittance and/or the never never which is all I can offer.

Can someone who is registered on the mail site add a comment about Gordon Taylors radio comments?
-
If they do get liquidated I predict at least one "Exclusive" article in the sports pages about the shocking news that the players are actually being paid from the unused parachute payments.
-
can someone tell them that it is not clear that the players will get nothing on liquidation.
-
I think the point is that the Premier League have shown a willingness to use the parachute payments to pay football creditors. Its then a question of how large a jump it is between paying those creditors at a club that is still going and paying those creditors at a club that was still due payments but has gone into liquidation.

or Henry or Thomas

Although they may not get all they are owed I suspect that at the end of the day they will get much more than is implied at the moment. As with the players wages they are just delaying payment and they will be front of the queue to themselves when the time comes to sell everything.
-
You missed it. 5 - 1, guess who to?
-
3 Questions for Birch 1) Is it true at least some of the players agreed to compromise agreements backed by money from the parachute payments? 2) Is it also true that these were not acceptable to Chainrai? 3) Do you think it is sensible for any player to accept a compromise agreement that contains no guarantee's that they will get the settlement agreed to?

No I did.

Have tweeted him to ask if he has heard the Graham taylor interview but don't expect anything to happen.

I must say I am impressed by the fact that Appy is of such a calibre as a coach that he can buck the trend of hollywood cliche endings and has managed to turn a group of competent players into a team of no-hoper's.
