  1. The opinion is, I believe, that as far as the club in concerned they would get nothing from the liquidation but that there as indications that they would get paid from the remaining unused parachute payments.
  2. Getting TB to write off some of his fee's is impossible, getting chinny to write anything off is one step further than that!
  3. Chinny is not going to come in until these players are off the books and, one assumes, with compromise agreements such that they do not add significantly to the football creditors that chinny has promised to pay. However unless he is willing to put extra money in now there is no money to settle these agreements and no one in their right mind would accept a promise of payment in the future. Put on top of that the firm theory that the players will get all their are owed on liquidation and it hard to see why any of them would sign their money owed away.
  4. Once they get the grasp of that bit they will know they are doomed. Kanu and TBH will stick it out to get their money and that's probably enough to make sure of liquidation so why would the others leave and forgo what they are owed?

  6. At least for the moment the players can get away with the "Trevor Birch has not managed to sell us" line. What would be the reaction of the few if one of the players said "My agent has told me that I will get more money via the parachute payments if I hanging around until the club dies"?
  7. If it is just handing in an open letter why does it take 2 hours?
  8. Perhaps because they want the fan's to put pressure on the players to leave ... "Oi Benny, we know you will get nuffink if we is liquizated so why don't you blugger off??"
  9. yes, on liquidation the parachute payments cannot be considered an asset of the club that can be sold to pay chinny as they lose the right to them as soon as they are liquidated. If someone else, e.g. the PL, wants to use that money to pay the players then they can but on liquidation the players will get nothing directly from the club besides a P45.
  10. Plus the line "If the club gets liquidated, the players get nothing anyway" can be considered true as well if you take the statement to refer purely to the club and its assets on liquidation.
  11. From watching too much of Levinson I believe they would only take note if one of the players asked them to look into it.
  12. In the light of my failed prediction for yesterday being 'pop' day and in keeping with the spirit of pompey I have decided to transfer my forum golden share to pedg (2012 Limited). I fully intend to ignore any of my previous commitments by fobbing people off with a distant promise of minor recompense and have another go at the title whilst still claiming ownership of my rich and long heritage in this thread. I shall now go for Wednesday (and if that does not happen I shall do it all again).
  13. Ah but remember they also have a number of committed players at home who are not playing today but are willing to stick with them till the bitter end.
  14. Pity the one running around with "Kanu" on his back.
  15. Does not look like it is going to happen today though. *walks away ripping up PTS lottery ticket*
  16. Expect a news story soon to say something like "All responses we have had so far have been overwhelmingly in favour" without giving any indication of what sort of percent of the total that represents.
  17. There is no point in having the address of all the creditors if they can't afford the stamps or envelopes.
  18. are we talking history or life expectancy?
  19. I have corrected it for them.
  20. I wonder if at the point he was sold on the idea of paying for the trip he was told that it would consist completely of trialists?
  21. See their website still prominently displaying Jobsite and claiming they are still in the championship!
  22. Has it been confirmed its only trialists on the trip? If so what are the other players doing? One assumes they have to maintain the illusion of preparing for the upcoming season?
  23. Winner was from a bank team which just goes to show how good they are at tacks avoidance.
  24. No, this is the PTS where even the most ludicrous idea of what will happen is trumped by reality.
