  1. Thinking of the football map thing what we need is for someone to knock up a couple of stickers, one saying "TCWTB" and the other the frowning pompey badge, and surreptitiously attach them to the map.
  2. I thought it was just that he was so indecisive about picking a date?
  3. I believe there is some sort of control on what the parachute payments get used for but the counter argument to that is that all other income could go to chinny leaving the parachute payments to cover all the costs. The question then what is the total the club will receive from all other sources and does it come close to the parachute payment money.
  4. Have they actually had their golden share removed? I was under the impression that the current old new (new old?) co has the share but that this would need to be transferred to new new co as part of the CVA deal and its that transfer that the league rules apply to?
  5. Possibly a good move as they can't get him now one assumes for breach of contract as long as he has proof that he told them he would initially be in Nigeria at the start of training and they acknowledged that. One assumes the amount he is trying to claim is larger than his remaining wages so he gives up the latter to concentrate on the former without then having to turn up for training.
  6. It sounds like Kanu has exercised his right to give 14 days notice and has now left. He has still not reached agreement on his demands, hence the tribunal.
  7. So? this tribunal for Kanu? It was suggested that something like that could be kicked into the long grass for an extended period but I guess they either can't kick it into there long enough or don't want it hanging over then. Wonder what the likely result is going to be? Birch must be pretty sure to try and go that route but it is another event that is outside their control. I wonder when he says 'as soon as possible' what sort of time frame that refers to, days, weeks or months?
  8. But where will the money come from if the debts become due once the parachute payments are used up and they go pop again?
  9. Any money coming out for chinnys pocket has a piece of strong elastic attached.
  10. Oh good. I do enjoy a good consortium! A word that always brings to mind people will not quite enough money for what is needed.
  11. I must say it shows some degree of advanced planning that they have left a gap in the bottom left of the 'villains' for who ever is going to be blamed next.
  12. I appear to have been diatribing on the Telegraph article again:
  13. I was not implying that they would directly agree to a 100% wipeout, but agreeing that in n years the club would pay you without any guarantee's is near enough that for all intent and purposes.
  14. I think their is some debate about whether these players are leaving as a normal transfer where they would then be in line for all the pay they have deferred or whether they are leaving as part of an agreement where they will either get less money than they have deferred up front or that they will get their money but at a future date such that they are not initially considered as football creditors under chainrai's rule.
  15. It appears in most cases clubs are only paying what was outstanding on a players previous transfer and as others have said there could be legal arguments about a players registration returning to their former club if pompey are liquidated whilst still owing on them.
  16. Well that something we have in common with them because we don't want their best players to go (yet) either.
  17. Managed to upload the photo yet?
  18. Problem is AA they did reach an agreement but then Chainrai vetoed it.
  19. Typical pompey counting accuracy. Map shows Port-smouth, London and Yarmouth. Now that's 3 in my books?
  20. Which is of course the correct answer knowing what we know and not the "Why of why are they doing this do they not realise they will get nothing" being peddled by all and sundry.
  21. This is my 2,000 post on this thread. I was intending to make it pithy summary of all that has happened so far. but then I though B*gg*r that! anyway someone with a username eerily the same as mine has posted this on the telegraph thread
  22. Headline bit of that article: in the actual article: So the headline gives the impression that TBH has ordered his agent not to deal with pompey where as the body just says the player is dealing with it himself.
  23. I do find it odd that the statement from Gordon Taylor that the main reason players have not agreed compromise agreements is because chainrai vetoing what is a quite sensible option of having any money in the agreements guaranteed against the parachute payments has not been more widely reported. There are lots of articles about "Look how self centred they are not leaving" without any consideration to the fact that the sticking point in them leaving is not actually the players themselves.
  24. All 10 of them, or was it less?
  25. I thought he was from the diggityesyoucan tribe.
