    Lord Reforms

Given his apparently shading dealing I am always amazed that Anglia Ruskin University let him put his name to this: but I guess money, no matter where it comes from, talks.
  2. Can pompey afford for Ben Haim to leave? In one of the 'stick Kanu on a bonfire' articles it says: so if TBH left on a free they would still need to find the money to pay him all his outstanding wages/image rights which, I would guess, is now quite substantial for a club with virtually no income at the moment.

    Lord Reforms

Not really a problem with the lords/second house though as there is not such link at the moment to be lost. As to the second point how else should they order their candidates?
  4. Who knows? All the land is, as far as we know based on the infamous article, mortgaged via various banks. One assumed they are now the preferred creditors for the company in administration? Is the land worth what it is mortgaged for?
  5. Indeed. As far as pompey goes IF chinny (and he is the only likely purchaser and probably too late for anyone new?) takes over he is not going to want to spend the money redeveloping the stadium that needs this land.
  6. Are we all ready for another twist... http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/pompey/pompey-past/pompey-land-may-be-sold-as-part-of-the-football-club-1-4041556
  7. I think the point of contention is that the secured creditors of the club will get what can be made from the liquidation but if the league decided that the parachute payments go to the football creditors first then that's not going to be much for chinny. The question is can the PL play hard and fast with who gets the PP. Birch assumes in his document they go to the club but that may be wrong?
  8. I think the PFA are covered by other football creditors. (2 in my list). There is an interesting argument to be had between the liquidator who may be expecting the parachute payments to distribute as they feel fit and the PL who may want to distribute it another way.
  9. I would suspect: 1) Other PL clubs owed money by pompey. 2) Other Football creditors at the request of the FL 3) The Club
  10. Interesting. However, how does it play with the fact that if they are liquidated the FCR goes out the window as its only of use to maintain a clubs golden share? Part of chinny's takeover plan is that he would pay all the football creditors in full and one assumes he has a good idea what that figure is? However if the creditors are paid from the PP rather than via chinny it would remove the option of constantly putting off the football creditors till the PP's are banked and possibly made off with?
  11. For those keeping track of the nutjobs that was trousers 2,500th post on this thread!
  12. Leave now or I will break your thumb
  13. okay does not use the term 'very' but close... http://www.portsmouth.co.uk/sport/pompey/pompey-past/appleton-adamant-varney-and-norris-exits-close-1-4037148 Varney, Norris and Mokoena to be gone by the end of the week (they hope).
  14. Because its far enough away from pompey?
  15. I am exclusively able to reveal that events have progressed so much that in tomorrows news it will be reported that some of the players will be leaving not just soon, but very soon. If things continue as predicted it is highly likely that by the end of the week this will have been raised yet again to "leaving very very soon, honest".
  16. IF they were still on the lookout for a buyer then I could understand "putting on a show" by paying to use their normal training area (must have had to pay upfront surely). However as they appear to be stuck between the devil (chinny) or the deep blue sea (liquidation) not sure why they would spend the money? Only guess I can come up with is to placate anyone at the league who might be getting worried about them competing.
  17. Looks like they are going all out with the "trying to make it appear everything is normal" plan. Looks at us with players and our normal practice area, etc. Will be interesting to know if this is a one off for the press or not.
  18. Typical pompey. spent the money on poles leaving only enough in the budget to buy one boot for several of the players.
  19. Corp's first appearance on this thread. as ever scoring nul points
