Thinking about it they have used Ben Haim's wages as the first thing they don't pay from the time where they went several months without paying him. If he thinks they are going to do the same but this time they may end up going pop and not paying at all then he might consider a less well paid, but predictable, payment elsewhere as the best option. --edit-- I would like to point out I am no deliberately trying to get the first post on each page...

It takes two to tango as they say and I assume in the past Ben Haim has not moved due to not wanting to take a cut in wages rather than pompeys unwillingness to sell. What makes it different this time?

An easier statistic is what are the odds that the manchester clubs will be drawn together in the knock out stages of the champions league.

I guess one thing the league could do would be to send someone in to pompey to check the books to make sure they are self sufficient as they claim? Not sure how they would treat the money that it appears Chainrai is lending them. If we ignore nefarious scenarios one assumes he is putting in some money now in the hopes that AA can sell pompey for enough to pay him back what he is owed compared to having to sell them in admin/sell off assets post liquidation?

Another way to think about it is to forget about the sequential nature of the draw and think of 32 pairs of holes at the bottom of a box and that you tip in 64 balls and shake the box till one ball goes in each hole. Thinking about it that way it should be clearer, its the fact that when determining the odd's you do not need to know about how the random arranging of teams is done, only that you end up with them all paired. They could be done all at once or sequentially it does not matter as you end up with the same result.
-
Before the draw starts the odds that 2 specific teams will meet in 1/63. Either Team A is drawn first and there is a 1/63 of team B being draw or team B is drawn first in which case there is a 1/63 chance of Team A being draw. As each of these scenarios (Team A drawn first or Team B drawn first) has a 1/2 chance of happening the odds are Team A at home to Team B 1/126, Team B at home to Team A 1/126, Team A and Team B meeting irrespective of who is at home 1/63. In the case of the FA cup draw obviously as teams that are neither Team A or Team B are drawn together the chances of Team A and Team B meeting increased as the draw progresses to the obvious final scenario where they are the only 2 teams left at which point it is certain. As the question says "During the draw" rather than "first out" the odds before a ball is drawn need not take into account the number of ties.

It does remind me of a shop near to my house from which someone running a 'free' flights scam. They appeared on watchdog, the shop was empty the next day and remained empty for years despite a good location. Assumed it was the amount of paperwork and other sorting out of the mess left behind that contributed to that and one would assume the same applies to pompey and/or CSI.

For some reason, possibly to do with where the company is based, some have vat some don't. I have bought 5 so far and only 1 has had vat added.

I only got it yesterday so can't really say. Reviews are quite good and at only 10p you can go back to your normal keyboard if you don't like it.

Another point the deserves some debate is this one So I read that as Chainrai is lending them (as he would never give it) extra money now to keep things going till they can be sold?
-
I am sure you could rework the "What have the romans ever done for us" sketch along the lines of: "It's lucky we are debt free." "What about the CVA payments?" "okay, besides the CVA payments we are debt free" ... "Okay, besides the CVA payments, the CSI debt, the payments to charity, the bill from the administrators, the cost of the new toilets we are debt free.
-
I did not realise that bringing in more players, paying their wages and having a large resultant debt that pompey are in no position to repay counted as 'investment'
-
Lots of confirmation of what we already suspected. I fail to see how pompey can be considered a better buy now than at the point at which the CVA was agreed as the amount of money needed to clear debts is the about the same I would guess (i.e. instead of paying Chainrai directly they have to pay the 10.8 back to CSI that would then go to Chainrai). Plus at point of the CVA the CVA payments could be (and were) postponed for a while but not as much leeway now.

Any one know how often these league meetings are? Think its fairly certain that they will dodge any decision this time but who knows what the situation will be next time.
-
Someone who feel they need to run a webchat even though they appear to know nothing more than the people asking questions.
-
League meeting in a few days I believe but the chances of they deciding anything is about as likely as Ho admitting he was wrong.
-
If Ho had tried to use the search he would find that the first mentions of both rumafia and Antonov were made by Danish Saint on the day that the news broke of Antonov possibly buying pompey. Now maybe Ho could tell us how they knew about the rumafia pages months before Antonov's name came up in relation to Pompey?
-
As far as pompey are concerned I think a "Where's not a Wally" competition would be harder.
-
I heard he is real but that he is staying at the north pole with Santa which is why he has not been spotted for a while.
