  1. To quote blackadder if he is working for us it must be part of a plan that's as cunning as a fox who's just been appointed Professor of Cunning at Oxford University?
  2. We only have one quote I believe that that is the case and its possible that was either misheard or what was read into the quote in terms of the admins owning the company is not what the person giving the quote actually meant. I don't think we should assume it is the case until other evidence supporting that claim arises. As other's have said owning the club would mean they would have to pass the FAPPT.
  3. After Hong Kong I am sure Rory will be happy to "chip in"
  4. Not sure they will get FA Cup TV coverage. The Manc v Manc will be one. Any remaining non-league/lower league teams will get at least 1 if not 2 games. and there will probably only be 4 matches on TV so it's a question of what they pick for the remaining 1 or 2 games. Suspect Arsenal v Leeds will be more appealing to the TV companies over Chelsea v Pompey.
  5. (Can't remember seeing this link posted, though its dated the 1st so it might have been) http://www.carsuk.net/saab-muller-used-antonov-money-to-purchase-saab/
  6. The other question they may need to consider is that I believe clubs have to put up some surety or something to guarantee that they can complete the season? If, as someone mentioned earlier, this may have been provided by Snoras then one assumes that they would have to get a replacement from another source PDQ?
  7. Wake me when they start the actual draw...
  8. You believe his statement was based on evidence? His statement was based purely on what he needed to say to trying to keep pompey saleable for as long as possible, even if it means making statements he did not have the information to back up it up with.
  9. If PFC was in any other business and thus without the football reality distortion field then a summary of current cost of the business to keep it running, upcoming major costs, likelihood of making a profit and value of assets it would be closed down faster than you can sneeze.

  11. I have explained previously that Dune is actually Dunebot as early bugridden AI program based on a training set of the UKIP manifesto, the Daily Mail, the Express and this forum.
  12. Would it be okay if John Terry waved a banana at him? At what point does it stop being on field banter and become more serious? For such a high profile case I am sure the police considered the context in which the event happened but they have decided that it crossed the line. Maybe once it gets to court we can decide if it did rather than prejudge the police case.
  13. As mentioned above its no so much offended by what he says and the fact that what he says is probably not what he really thinks but an act. Which would be fine except people like right wing nutcases with guns use it as one of their justifications for mass murder. Never mind tens of people dead it was only a joke. As I said like the bloke on fox news who wound up all the 'Tea Party' to the point where anyone trying to become president on the republican side has to be extremely right wing.
  14. Gets back to an earlier question of mine about is there is any financial equivalent of the european arrest warrent, i.e. a way for country A in the EU to request country B to freeze assets for them?
  15. I think the first line of that article instead of being this: should be this:
  16. I don't take him seriously but I do still find him offensive? Where does that put me? To me he is like whatshisname off fox news who ended up starting to believe his own act and got shipped out once they started losing advertisers. I suspect he has shot himself in the foot a bit as I expect his book/dvd/whatever he is promoting will be struck off the wish lists of more people than it is added to after that appearance.
  17. I am sure they have lots of other things they are focusing on the same way that the police are not just out catching murderers. If he was a random member of the public who was witnessed in the street racially abusing someone he could and should be chased up on it and charged if the police considered it severe enough and had enough evidence. Just because he is a footballer doing it on a football pitch should not excuse him from the law of the land.
  18. Am I right that the home club has to pay for policing? Am I also right that the Hampshire constabulary have said that the operation for that match will be large and expensive? Lets hope they get their bill in quickly... http://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/9393363.Huge_police_operation_for_Saints__clash_with_Pompey/

  20. I can see why Dune likes Clarkson, they are very similar in terms of being 'comical' Right wingers who just say things to get a response. Unfortunately that's where the similarity stops for Dune as he does not make millions from book, DVD and newspapers and get to drive fast cars.
  21. Latest news: AA denies he is Chainrai's puppet
  22. I am not convinced how choreographed the current events are in terms of Chainrai, etc. I think he was happy with how things were before because he had got out of the hot seat at pompey and could see his would get his money at the end of it once CSI finished paying their instalments. But now he getting himself involved in a much larger pond. One suspects that once things started to unravel he must have seen the money he is still owed for pompey disappearing from in front of his eyes and got the charge slapped in asap to try and stop that. My opinion is that it was probably an act of panic than coordinated plan.
  23. Can't see how the law allows this chicken and egg situation. Someone makes what is possibly an unfair preference on a company just before admin to make sure they get the administrator of their choice in charge who is then supposed to make a decision on whether it is an unfair preference or not?
  24. meanwhile back at the football creditors hearing I think someone at the BBC needs to do a bit better with their fact checking. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/15969818.stm Someone should tell them that the other creditors have received 0 pence in the pound.
  25. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2068282/Portsmouth-administrator-confident-clubs-future.html Interesting, nay unusual, use of the term 'relatively' there by AA. No mention that the money was spent on wages and bringing in new signings. If anything the 10.8 million (which may be requested back as previously discussed) has pushed up the amount needed each month to keep the club going without reducing any debt as far as we know. Also no mention of the CVA debt but then you can't expect the person who did all the work on that to remember it can you?
