A bit surprising if that’s the case with Perraud, I thought he had a really good game against Chelsea and gave the left side some real balance. Stu A for Lavia seems realistic with Diallo and JWP holding behind.

You mean a player who has been on Chelsea’s books since he was 8 years old actually has a burning desire to play for Chelsea’s first team? Nah, I’m not buying it.
-
👍 Id go 8/10 myself but agree with the sentiment.

We’ve definitely improved the 3 in the 4-2-3-1 we now seem to have adopted. We are IMO light at the 1. If Che Adams against Chelsea and Man U is anything to go by, the 1 is the target focus and the 3 are charged to get in support as quickly as possible. Different to the 4-2-2-2 Ralph previously liked. Broja would’ve been brilliant for the up top role. Adams is decent for it but there’s no real backup for him. I love the look of Mara, very much like Aribo too, but I don’t think they’ll play as the 1 as our first choice. I may be wrong about Mara but that doesn’t seem his role to me, I think he’s a livewire and maybe best in the 3, the ‘Long replacement’ analogy doesn’t really sit with me. Overall I’d say it’s a big upgrade on last season.

The ongoing Caleta-Carr transfer chronicle - Signs 4 Year Contract

Wouldn’t be surprised, other comments from him suggest that he’s lost the dressing room, lots of infighting and players wanting to get away.

If we can get collect-a-car and Broja in before 11pm this will be the absolute best transfer window I can remember.

SKD KWP - ABK - VVD - GLS AMN - JWP SDR - MLT - BWP SRL Mgr: WGS

Saints are the double barrel champions. KWP, JWP, ABK, now AMN. Get SKD, MLT and SRL out if retirement and we’re winning the acronyms.

He obviously watched the game on Tuesday and realised what a mistake he’s made.

We did wallop them 6-0 at Molyneux once. But yeah, seems a bit of a graveyard in more recent times.

That’s literally the club’s business model, they’ve stated it countless times, we offer ourselves as a stepping stone for brilliant young players to get to bigger sides. It’s shit but it’s reality. Chelsea just spent more than our summer budget on a 21 year old centre back who is coming back from a broken leg, it’s not a level playing field. I’d rather have the likes of Bazunu, Lavia, ABK for a short while then lose them than not have them at all. Trying to make top class players stay at our club isn’t going to work. Look at Leicester, won the league and now they’re in disarray despite paying massive wages.

Decent mix of players getting votes.

And better coaches who may be able to chip in with more ideas about how to change things around.
-
The fact he was on the pitch after the game is at least somewhat encouraging. Isn’t it? Looking for a crumb of comfort.
-
Yep, they just showed his defending on the BT roundup, just in the right place at the right time. Looks like not much phases him either, he just gets on with things. Quality player.

Who gives a shit, maybe just enjoy the win.

I said after Ralph’s comments against Spurs that I thought he wasn’t the originator of the 3 at the back, Ralph was always predominantly a 4. That said he’s also diverted for the 4-2-2-2 to a 4-2-3-1, which looks more solid.
-
Great to see Ralph looking to celebrate with his coaching team straight away. Excellent team performance.
-
He was pretty fair and honest in that interview. Disappointed with his side but said nothing about deserving more.

Saints have broken the forum….502 gateway all over the place

Basically you could give it to any of them, but let’s have a vote anyway. @Lighthouse (or other mods, if there are any…), any chance of pinning this please?
-
A half of two halves. Up to their goal they were dominant and giving us nothing. Since then we’ve really got at them and caused them problems. Great half saints, but a looooong way to go yet.

The pitch looks much greener than the weekend.
