No problem for aiming in that corner. The problem was that che got it scuffed under his feet when running through, then panicked and absolutely scuffed his shot. A premier league striker would’ve taken it on further and beaten the keeper. Che panicked and just hit it. He is a terrible finisher.

Fine. I agree the law is, as you said, bullshit. The ref got the decision right though. Same for the Newcastle VAR decision, not enough evidence to chalk it off.

Lavia is quite obviously being managed for time on the pitch. Since coming back he’s been taken off on the hour mark in all of his games. We’d all prefer to see him in the lineup, though, and our lack of true backup for him is shocking. Blackpool cup game this weekend would be a better option to sit him out imo, but I don’t doubt that the call is at least somewhat being advised for the player’s longer term welfare.

7 defeats from our last 8 league games certainly shows which direction we’re going. One clean sheet from 20 league games also tells its own story.
