The setup is one thing, what’s more important is the general demeanour. Lots of press, effort, playing it quickly, not keeping possession at the back, looking to turn defence to attack rapidly. It’s encouraging that we can do this. City have been poor but you have to credit Saints’ hard work in that. If this is the revised Jonesball, I like it. Good to watch.

Seriously, this rain can just fuck off. It seems like it’s being continually raining for over a month. I mean, it’s better than the summer when we had housing estates spontaneously bursting into flames, but I feel like to we need to find a happy medium.

Newcastle aren’t really a benchmark. Their positioning of away fans at St James Park goes against the Premier league rules that were brought in around 5-6 years ago which stipulates that away fans must be positioned pitchside. Newcastle are the only ones that don’t comply, they have an exemption due to “safety reasons” (basically keeping supporters segregated on entry/exit).

U wot m8? Did you not see our unique, innovative and frankly amazing light show before the Forest game? It was inspiring and put us right on the map. The Chapel kop was effervescent all night after that, especially after the OWTS funeral march pre-game.

All of those 3 listed should be thanking their lucky stars that they are on premier league wages and that they are in some form of spotlight. If they are agitating for a move they need a heavy dose of realism. Djenepo just got given a massive contract extension FFS. Particularly for him and Elmo, we’d be lucky to get a club who would willingly take them on at the wages we’ve given them. Bang average overpaid muck.

Can’t see us not signing a striker. But then I thought that in summer. I think SR are rolling the dice and I reckon we’ll get what Jones says they’re trying for, 3-4 in the window.
