  1. I’m sticking by my prediction, we’ll win this 2-1.
  2. I’d just like to point out that Wolves have got Mario Lemina in their lineup.
  3. That’s what BBC have got too.
  4. That’s how I see it.
  5. Yeah, about that…..
  6. Interesting. Not how it’s presented in the Twitter graphic though.
  7. Where are you getting 5 from?
  8. AMN 🤣 Janny B 🤪
  9. Wouldn’t be surprised that, unless he makes some remarkable development in the short term, he’ll be loaned out by Chelsea at some point in the next year or two. There’s new regs coming in (or already in) on how many players clubs can loan out; but from what I can gather players under 21 and/or who are homegrown in that country are exempt from the restrictions.
  10. His knee surgery is said to put him out for 3 months, so that would be extremely optimistic. Not sure what you mean by the number 9 things, Aubameyang is their 9 and according to Chelsea he hasn’t got a number yet.
  11. It’s kind of where I’m at, I hope it was something of a massive shock to them to see such depth of feeling. I doubt it though.
  12. The upside is, at least it’s only one week…
  13. I checked again what Jones said, just to be sure, to summarise. Both didn’t start last week as they pretty much only had 35 minutes of training time with the group. Ironically they both played more last week than we’d have liked. Paul has played a lot of football but has had a week of transfer logistics so doing everything bar training. Sulemana, hes played a little bit less than Paul, hes he’s had a really good week of training but we’ve had to look after him, we can’t flog him or we’ll lose him.
  14. He didn’t reference the wolves game directly, was just talking about why Tall Paul and Sulemana didn’t start last week. Said they had both not done much training due to transfer logistics, but that Paul has played a lot lately whereas Sulemana isn’t quite as up to speed.
  15. I would say he must. Just got this weird feeling he won’t. Also, he’s probably more likely to start Elmo instead of Alcaraz. I don’t see Sulemana getting much game time given Jones’ presser comments.
  16. Got a feeling he’ll go with this, which would be a long way from most people’s preference. Bazunu Bree - Lyanco - Janny B - Salisu - Perraud Diallo - JWP - Alcaraz Tall Paul - Adams
  17. XG?
  18. Just watched it. Not as much of a car crash as I was expecting at all. He’s clearly trying his best to keep a lid on his emotions, he almost let it go 2 or 3 times then reined himself in. His lack of specifics is the troubling thing for me. He keeps repeating ‘be aggressive, be front footed’ but it’s the same nonsense he’s been trotting out for weeks that has only seen us get worse. He skated around his ‘I’ve compromised’ statement to try and massively downplay it. And the question about ‘which stats’ at the end had him flummoxed, he knew he’s been caught out talking bollocks with that one. Im not inspired that this will herald a new dawn. Though, somehow, I can see us getting 3 points out of this game so that we continue limping along.
  19. Here’s a link. But as I said above, it won’t play for me. https://www.southamptonfc.com/news/2023-02-09/press-conference-live-nathan-jones-southampton-wolves-premier-league-2022-23
  20. I’ve been trying to watch this press conference on the OS but I only get blue spinning wheel of death on my laptop and iPad.

He would’ve kept us up, I’m certain of it. We were 15th when Nigel was sacked. His opening ten games in the PL were a disaster, 8 defeats and 4 points. Nigel’s next 12 games up to his sacking saw 4 wins, 6 draws, 2 defeats, 18 points. Very, very good form for a promoted side. No doubt that Poch took us on a notch, but the fans’ ire at the time was largely directed to perceived shabby treatment of Adkins and was not directed towards the new manager.
  22. Have you actually seen any of the games under Jones? The atmosphere from the fans towards Jones has been as toxic as ever before. Palace away a case in point, fans singing “Nathan Jones get out of our club” in the first half. Other games he’s got pelters, Brentford away plenty of “you don’t know what you’re doing”. It’s very easy to criticise from afar, but I can’t ever recall the fans turning on a manager so quickly and as vocally as with Jones. He’s a very dislikable person and that comes across fully during games.
  23. Jonesy’s playing an absolute blinder.

There’s a Twitter thread from a lad who went, Ankersen said if/when we go down the finances will be in place to come straight back up.
  25. Not far off I reckon, but I can see him dropping Lavia for Elmo. At which point I’ll cry.
