I see. So you were comparing £20M Oscar to Ramirez then? Fair enough.
-
Apart from Barry Sanchez I don't think many others are "writing him off" either.
-
I was comparing Hazard to your mention of Oscar; you made the Ramirez connection, not me. The point being; some players adapt to the Premier League very well right from the start (from Hazard, to £10M Coutinho, to £2M Michu). Some players take time to settle. Some players don't live up to their expectations at all. We'll see which one Ramirez is.

Supreme logic from Art yet again.

His team-mate, 22 year old Eden Hazard, seemed to fare a bit better, being nominated by his peers for the player of the year and young player of the year in his debut season here. Maybe some players are much more of a success than others? Just saying.

Their left back looked alright at times. Quite attacking minded; not sure how great he was in defence, mind. The lad McManaman has a lot of promise. Not sure if there's much else I'd be inclined to go for. Although I'm not sure what's happened to Ali el Habsi, he was utter quality last season.

We're safe anyway, we're drawing with Sunderland and beating Stoke.

It'll be just like Wigan to go to Arsenal and win. They did it last season. Not over yet, I feel. Wigan fans are dreadful.

Come on Nathan, you thieving little c*nt; knock one in.

Swansea have been utterly sh*te.

Does it? I hope we stay up, but if we do go down the pros of Championship football would outweigh much of the disappointment of relegation for me. We've been really impressive to watch at times this season, but I can't say I've thoroughly enjoyed going to games much more than last year. Making up the numbers in the Premier League or competing in the Championship? Not much in it for me.

I'd have been delighted if Ramirez had gotten anywhere near the levels that Silva and Mata reached in their first seasons here. Silva scored 6 goals and made 15 assists in his first season, 2010-11. He also earned three consecutive Manchester City Player of the Month awards from October to December 2010. Mata scored 12 goals with 20 assists in his first season 2011-12. By contrast, ramirez has 5 goals and 2 assists. Sorry, but there's no comparison for me. Silva and Mata have settled and progressed onwards from that point too, but I can't agree they needed a season to adjust. And like I say, if Ramirez had hit those sorts of numbers all round this would be an entirely different discussion.

Get our money back, play Lallana in the number 10 position, spend the money on a decent winger like Coutinho.

Step-by-step guide to survival before kick off on May 19th

Talk of anything next season, let alone Champions League nonsense, is irresponsible. Get this job done first, then you can start "aiming for the stars" or other such platitudes. -

Can't see it myself. Their 0-0 against Man City was a welcome tonic but it seems as if Swansea have been on the beach for ages. I can't see anything but a comfortable home win. We'll get a draw against Sunderland and a win against Stoke; but it's still going down to the wire, and a win for Wigan is really going to put the cat amongst the pigeons. -

Just watched it again. I still think he could have saved it. Not necessarily saying he should have saved it, it was a good shot that moved a lot. But Boruc was well positioned and his outstretched arms just seemed to miss it, the ball seemed to dip at the last moment. Unlucky for the keeper, I'd say. -

Wouldn't usually? Or wouldn't ever? It was a good strike, no doubt; but I think Boruc got himself into a position where he could have got hands to it, but fluffed it a bit. I'd like to see it again a few times in slow mo. But my impressions upon seeing it on MOTD are that Boruc could have done a bit better with it. -

Why not? Was it beyond his grasp? Could he physically not have reached it? -

Agreed, Diggory. Food for thought, indeed. -

He didn't though; that's the point. Boruc didn't have a despairing lunge, his arms seemed to be out there but the ball kind of went over them. Could have saved that I reckon, just didn't get his hands/arms placed properly. -

He seemed well placed; the shot just looked like it went through his arms. Wasn't right in the corner of the goal or anything, he had every chance of saving that, I reckon. -

Just watching MOTD; I'm left wondering if Boruc could have done better with the goal? -
Are we relegated if we don't?
