  1. A bit less relevant, I'd have thought. Knock yourself out and look it up if you like; but this one shows our last 28 games between 2 different managers.
  2. NA last 14 games: GF 17 GA 16 MP first 14 games: GF 17 GA 16 Spooky...
  3. How is it trolling, you delicate flower? Its a discussion point. Dear me. Is Badger trolling because he thinks Adkins shouldn't have been sacked? Not everyone has the same opinion as you, you know. Thankfully.
  4. I think Adkins at least deserved to see the season out. And with hindsight (and these stats) its hard to argue against that; although MP will have learnt an awful lot more about this squad than had he (or another manager) come in during the summer.
  5. Probably best you don't assume things of others, buddy. I don't Adkins was the man to take us forwards, and I think MP is a better long term option. Just pointing out some stats.
  6. Pochettino's first 14 games: W4 D5 L5, 17 points. Adkins' last 14 games: W4 D6 L4, 18 points. After our early improvement under MP and some epic wins, our form of late has seen us regress somewhat. MP's form so far of 1.2 points per game is also slipping dangerously closer to NA's whole season record of 1 point per game.
  7. Wigan and Villa have both just won two games in a row, so its hardly hoping their form will change, is it? 2 wins out of 3 could be enough for Wigan; Villa are now above us after being a prime relegation candidate. Everyone else is within 2 points of us, and with 2 or 3 games to go for each of them its hardly inconceivable that they could catch us. i think we'll get a draw against Sunderland and a win against Stoke and stay up comfortably; but we're not there yet.
  8. Indeed. I'm sure NickG will be along soon with the latest form table.
  9. Saints fans in having differing opinions shocker.
  10. Palace, as I've got a few mates who support them and always enjoy a trip up to Selhurst. It'll never happen though, they'll get spanked in the semis by Brighton. If not Hull (if they don't make it up in the automatics). Brighton can feck off, as can Leicester, but I have a feeling it will be the Seagulls.
  11. Nice mention of Kevin Moore from the Beeb there
  12. The 2012-13 red home strip and white away strip. Its a massive label that is just stuck on the front. Check some other bigger clubs that Umbro have produced for, and the logos are either printed on or the method of affixing them is a lot smarter. We started a trend of having massive stuck on logos with the flybe shirts a while back (the stuck-on logo of those often weren't fixed properly so they didn't quite match the edge of the white stripe they were supposed to match up to and just looked horrendous). Sadly that trend has continued and the shirts continue to look cheap and nasty; especially the white one. I don't think its the background that's all the problem. It's having a bloody massive logo just stuck on a shirt. Tottenham has a similar shape logo to us when they were sponsored by Thomson, they didn't have to resort to plastering a whopping great logo onto a generic shirt.
  13. Yep, definitely. Argentina are one of the top sides in the world at the moment. A day at the rugger is a decent day of sport; different from a day at the footy but very enjoyable nonetheless. I can't claim to understand even half the ins and outs of the rules, but its still enjoyable nonetheless. Still remember being in the Alex at 730am for the Rugby World Cup final in 2003, what a day that was.
  14. I think its one of the cheapest and tackiest we've ever had. The logo is just a stuck on label; it looks terribly naff on the home kit, it looked absolutely appalling on the white kit as the label was off white. The less said about the away kit, the better. Rank Xerox kit next season would be my choice, but I doubt it'll happen. Wouldn't be surprised if we stayed away from stripes for another year, unfortunately. This season's kits were rubbish in my view; sometime I buy the kit for 5 a side (I still often wear the sash) but no way was I going buy either of this year's shirts, they're awful.
  15. Post number 2 of this thread was "Who have West Ham produced? I can't think of anyone recently, so what does he know? Or is it just a Gareth Bale link?" Post number 3 was "Really confused at why as good as West Hams is a compliment out side of frank lampard??" Not sure if the thread descended into anything; it just followed that course of pointing out who West Ham have produced. Unless you thought those questions shouldn't have been answered at all?
  16. Yes, we've done very well with our youth setup too. Over the past 20 years I wouldn't put us in the same bracket as West Ham, they've had phenomenal success; although there's perhaps not too much in it for the past 5 - 10 years of academy graduates from both clubs. You could also add Baird and Bridge for us.
  17. Behave. This list alone is impressive enough, all of them still playing. Jack Collison – Wales international Mark Noble – England U17/U19/U21 international James Tomkins – England U19/U21 international Frank Lampard – England International Rio Ferdinand – England International Paul Konchesky – England International Joe Cole – England International John Terry – England International Michael Carrick – England International Jermain Defoe – England International Kieran Richardson – England International Glen Johnson – England International Bobby Zamora – England International
  18. From wiki. Pretty impressive. Much as ours is too. Not sure why its such a bad thing to be compared to West Ham; their academy success over the past 20 years has been immense.
  19. It's one of the more bizarre posts I've seen on here in a while, that's for sure! Manchester United, the mid table team! Bloody hell that's some warped logic. I give up, I'm too tired on a Friday afternoon, yep the parallels with Saints are remarkable.
  20. This. They were noticeable reluctant to get involved with any of the previous fundraising efforts (led by the poster on here "Matthew Le Tissier"). Plus the addition to the calendar of "All Saints Day" to wrap it all up into one commemoration.
