  1. Except, as has been pointed out countless times, there is no rule for this right now. The existing rules account for clubs going into administration before/after the cut off; not coming out of administration, as the skates will be. Everyone is just assuming the rules will be the same (as they morally should be).
  2. And yet there are some who aren't quite drawing their pensions just yet who haven't seen plenty of European football. We're not going to win the league any time soon, or probably qualify for the Champions League, so for me a spot of European football (no matter how "noddy" the competition is) is better than plodding along and striving for finishing as high above mid-table as possible.
  3. I wasn't particularly impressed with him in the U21 game at St Mary's.
  4. Quite a funny exchange from Football365's forum.
  5. Not much going on over on POL. apart from my favourite poster, Mr Disgusted. This delusional tw*t is the gift that keeps giving. So there you have it. He wants a big and decent squad. They clearly have learnt nothing at all.
  6. If they get their minus 10 points applied next season then I'll agree with you. If it comes off this year it will be the biggest farce in football, and they will have gotten away with it.
  7. David Mellor playing for Oldham; they'll never win with that disgusting face in the side.
  8. Or I may not think that. Probably best you stop attributing false opinions on others, it's a daft trait. If you target something it should mean you think you have a genuine chance of achieving it. Not a one in a million chance, a realistic chance. Targetting sixth with this squad is unrealistic IMO. Targeting 6th with at least 3 or 4 quality additions is a more reasonable claim, depending on the quality of the additions.
  9. NickG is very strange. Targetting 6th place with this exact squad is folly. Doing it with 3 or 4 quality signings; possible but a bit of a stretch maybe.
  10. Agree. I reckon its unlikely to be NK. But you've got to be some sort of special nutcase to plan something like this so, until we hear otherwise, I wouldn't rule anyone or anything out. It could even be domestic and/or anti-government, as its Patriots Day in the US today and Boston is a historic city.
  11. Why so sure, Diggory?
  12. Or alternatively NK. In which case, Armageddon me up.
  13. He's certainly saddled himself with some unnecessary grief.
  14. Probably get let off lightly, it was clearly only a bit of horseplay.
  15. What a complete weapon.
  16. Who is getting on his back? I would hope the lad has a bit more backbone that to get all upset about a conversaation about him on an internet board. He gets great support from the fans at games.
  17. That's all true; but its also independent of asking whether we're getting value from the price tag. Both are a relevant discussion point. Especially so since the OP also said "Personally I haven't seen him put in many performances which have made me think he is anywhere near the level of £12 million pounds".
  18. Why is his price not relevant? Its a benchmark that is used throughout football. For instance, whenever the Michu transfer is talked about its always mentioned how much of an incredibly good deal it was for Swansea. Likewise Andy Carroll being worth nowhere near the £35M that Liverpool paid for him. Price tag is relevant for all of our players; which is why I'm happy to say that Clyne and Davis were complete and utter bargains at their price, Boruc was a great deal, Yoshida looks decent value and JRod is increasingly looking like a massive bargain.
  19. Has anyone actually said that Lallana had a better game than Ramirez? I've not seen it.
  20. A Brentford fan's take on their game yesterday, over on the Pompey site:
