Premier League winners or Champions League winners?
The Kraken replied to SaintBobby's topic in The Saints
Would you prefer good threads on here and Saints to draw today, or bad threads on here and Saints to win? -
Nor Everton. They didn't even qualify for the league stages, they got knocked out in the premilinary rounds.

Next year's list is going to be obscene in comparison. More for the team that finishes in 20th place than Man City earned when they won the title last year.
-
MLG getting thoroughly rinsed here.
-
UEFA cup.

Not that we'll actually know though.... But agreed, I get the feeling that crowds next season could be akin to those in 2003/04. A season of that and a bigger stadium becomes a more realistic prospect. Heady days .

Pochettino targets Champions League spot next season

So basically aiming for the moon or hitting the stars is a suicide mission in either case. Perhaps not the best analogy then. -
Pochettino targets Champions League spot next season

Have they balls. They've progressed as a club and still look likely for a top ten league finish which shows upward movement from last season. They also have a stadium expansion in the pipeline, which along with a decent league plaing and a really good manager will serve them well for attracting better players over the summer to improve further. -
Hmmm. A hit and miss prediction.

Pochettino targets Champions League spot next season

Its the level of top class signings that will be the key. And what the club can afford to spend, of course. To achieve a Champions League spot I'd hazard a guess that we're at least 6 players short (players that could potentially get in a top 4 side are IMO Clyne, Shaw, Cork, Schneiderlin, maybe Boruc). So to bridge the gap is pretty difficult, even our £12M signing regularly can't even get in our starting line-up, let alone that of a Champions League qualifying team. Talking about Champions League is all very well; fine to have the ambition, but if its a true ambition then its there to be judged and there will come a time when your actions have to match your words. -

I'm less interested in hearing about the Champions League place we're targetting and more interested in hearing what the plans are to actually do it. -
Where's the f*cking statue?
-
It leaves less than that when you factor in private boxes and corporate suites.

Dalek in becoming even more predictable and even less funny non-shocker.

Excellent; a new hilarious modification. I do hope this isn't the only time you mention this new idea.
-
The south's team is essentially Chelsea plus Gareth Bale. Edit: Didn't read the rules
-
Does that fit in with the yo-yo strategy?
-
No. The easyjet-based pricing model had glitches in the computer programming and isn't ready for general release just yet, so we may have to wait to get that right first.

I'm sure they have a much better idea than this time last year, yes. For a number of games this season (Sunderlan, Wigan, Newcastle, Norwich etc) the visiting sides didn't take their full allocation and extra seats were made available to home fans. The figures from those would have given some evidence to how many extra seats over the existing capacity could have sold (as it turned out in those cases not a huge amount). Attendances in the second half of the season are significantly higher than the first half of the season. While this is probably due in part to our improvement, its also consistent with previous regimes in the Premier League where we often got a number of smaller gates early in the season. I'd imagine Don Cortese, statue and all, will be keeping a close eye on season ticket sales and matchday sales next season to add to the mix of the new stadium potential.

How do you know he doesn't?
-
Who to? I can't imagine anyone would consider giving us much of that if we decided to offload him now. Althoughif he's not in MP's long term plan then I suppose we'd be best off just taking the hit and getting rid. We'll see.

Mayuka was around £3M. Can't see that he'd go anywhere; can't see that anyone would actually want him.
