  1. Good. Have a look at historical kits and you can see how often Saints vary from a traditional red and white. http://www.historicalkits.co.uk/Southampton/Southampton.htm From the past 50 years: inverse Ajax 5 years; centenary solid red 2 years; Hummel half 2 years; sash 1 year; Cortese red 2 years; inverse Ajax 1 year; inverse sash 1 year; white and red 1 year. That’s 15 out of 50 we’ve gone for something completely non stripes. Then you’ve got another 5 years of candy stripes which were very non traditional, the Pony tick was pretty off the wall, and the 99-01 kit was an almost inverse Ajax. Stripes are gash IMO, very boring especially paired with black shorts and with a plain back looks crap. Tbf that twobit logo would make anything look shit, but Hummel 99 and maybe one of the Sanderson ones have been about the only striped kits I like edit, actually the Admiral one was alright). I’d still like to see us do a proper red and white halves like Southampton St Mary’s 1894-1896 with blue shorts and socks, or a Feyenoord equivalent if sticking to black shorts.
  2. Awful. And what happens with the player name and those 5 white lines? Name printed under it would be far too low so got to print over them? Very glad I don’t buy Saints shirts as this one is very poor.
  3. UEFA, not EPL. Look at Newcastle last season. https://www.sportbible.com/football/football-news/newcastle-united/champions-league-uefa-newcastle-united-ac-milan-265902-20230919
  4. No idea why all of our kits have to have the cheap, terrible looking massive vinyl sponsor over the front. Every year the same. The Starling Bank one actually looks alright.
  5. Sounds like a pretty good system to me.
  6. You think that’s bad….. Wonder is @Lord Duckhunter will be buying one for his other half.
  7. I mentioned a Nigel Farage once but I think I got away with it.
  8. Not sure its even quite got us there, has it? Defenders: Looks like KWP off and replaced by new lad, jury out but massive shoes to fill. Taylor in at LB, that's an improvement on Manning. Edwards and Wood in, both highly rated but how much will they actually start for us? Especially if we keep hold of Janny B. Midfield: Lost Brooks, lost Rothwell, lost Stu Armstrong. Added Lallana. Big net loss. Edit: Charly is back I suppose (maybe) so gives us numbers but remains to be seen if he stays, and if he does what he actually produces. Striker: Che surely off (19 goals last term), Loch Ness Drogba still being talked about being eased back in, no other signings yet. I still see us as a bit net down on where we finished the league.
  9. Absolutely bizarre.
  10. I'm quite happy that things have dies down after the election now that those in charge seem to be enacting some sensible measures in their first few days in office. Politics has become a circus over the past few years with a drama seemingly every week. Starmer gets called boring but hell, give me a boring competent man to oversee this Labour term and I'll be perfectly content with that. Just get on with the flipping job, if I'm having to read about politics every day it means something is likely going wrong.
  11. Potter did well at Brighton but finishing ninth in the PL and then failing badly at Chelsea isn’t the resume I’d want for the next England manager, personally.
  12. Hope not. Decent coach by all accounts but he’s got an absolutely phenomenal wealth of talent at his disposal, much like Southgate. Genuinely think the FA need to be headhunting the very best managers in world football.
  13. I’m fully expecting Potter to get the job. Not exactly inspiring.
  14. Echo have also previously reported ABK is back. https://www.dailyecho.co.uk/sport/24446349.bella-kotchap-back-southampton-pre-season-psv-loan/ ABK on Getty images. https://www.gettyimages.co.uk/detail/news-photo/armel-bella-kotchap-of-southampton-fc-attends-a-pre-season-news-photo/2161727154 Also Alacaraz on Getty images. https://www.gettyimages.co.uk/detail/news-photo/carlos-alcaraz-of-southampton-fc-attends-a-pre-season-news-photo/2161727221
  15. This is where I viewed them. https://www.southamptonfc.com/en/news/gallery/gallery-training-in-the-rain-15-07-2024
  16. Some sides have done this in the past. I think when Rep of Ireland did it, and the sponsorless shirt was considerably more expensive than the normal one. Celtic too I’m sure have done it.
  17. Alcaraz is in the photos on the OS as is ABK.
  18. Rollbit.co.uk is based in Gibraltar and set up entirely for UK customers.
  19. Perraud, Lyanco, DCC.
  20. Didn’t see the Lallana one but Smallbone 8, Charles 24, Stephens 5, Adarma 9. And no number for Sulemana.
  21. I think we need someone to play alongside him.
  22. It pretty often is, (or has been in recent years), usually get the final pre season game or two which is at home.
  23. They’ve got a .co.uk domain.
  24. Yep, I was just looking at this! The club statement paints them as an online gaming and e-sports company but in reality they’re just another gambling firm.
