  1. A genuine comedy moment 🤣
  2. Dan Hodges is a Tory lickspittle but even he’s getting fully stuck in and raises an actual good point. There are only two explanations. The itinerary was set before the election date was known. In which case Sunak literally couldn’t be bothered to stay and just wanted to come home early. Or the itinerary was set afterwards. In which case he chose to put politics above the veterans by coming home for the interview.

Oh please, you’re like a stuck record of “you can’t say nuffink these days without being called an antisemite”. Criticism of the Israeli government and support for the Palestinian people are perfectly fair game in themselves and you know this. Specifically, the words that you wrote and how you phrased them crossed the line and it’s telling you refuse to retract and choose to obfuscate instead. With Corbyn, yes good idea, I’ll believe what I want.
  4. I won’t be watching, the leaders debate was bad enough. But I’ll definitely be interested to read the feedback on the approach Penny will take. Let’s face it, she’s not all that bright (looks good holding a sword) but she’s certainly got designs on the leadership. Will she defend Sunak? I don’t think she’ll go out of her way. I don’t think she’ll throw him under a bus, probably something like “it was wrong that he left early and it was right that he apologised”. But in general I wouldn’t mind betting that Penny will be looking after herself rather than the party tonight.

Yeah, Jeremy Corbyn had a go at that too, it didn’t end well for him as people chose to see through his rhetoric of “I’m not antisemitic, I only support the Palestinian cause” while completely enabling antisemitism within his own party.
  6. Would he? It seemed to be at Arsenal he played more at right back than at centre back, they had Saliba and Gabriel at CB who started almost every game together. RB seems to be a lock with Walker there, TAA also an option plus Trippier if Shaw gets fit. I admit we’re very light at CB, especially if Stones gets crocked, but I don’t see Ben White as the answer there and I don’t think he’d get in at RB either.
  7. At this point I reckon he’d just be best off holing himself up in Downing Street and waiting it out until the election. He’s the inverse Midas, everything he touches turns to shit. I reckon there’s every chance there’s legs in this theory about him contemplating not attending D Day at all, Sam Coates questioning him about it seemed to be basing it off of something. If there’s any sort of paper trail and he’s lied again then he’s fucked it completely.

Those words as written are literally a specified definition of antisemitism as stated by the IHRA, definitions which have been wholesale adopted by the UK Government and by the Labour Party. ‘Holding Jews collectively responsible for actions of the state of Israel.’

An example of real antisemitism (literally as defined by the IHRA). given the way that Jewish people have been discriminated against through the ages their treatment of the Palestinians does them no credit. You don’t get a free pass to crush someone or displace them just because it has happened to you in the past.
  10. It’s going really well for the guy who thinks we should bring back national service. Cos everyone should do their bit, yeah?
  11. I bet your curry nights are an absolute fucking doozy these days.
  12. I don’t necessarily disagree but 6 goals in 14 PL games for an utterly shit team is a very good haul. Broja got that over a whole season for us and he’s still well thought of in many quarters.
  13. I’d switched off by then but I heard his answer was an absolute shocker 🤪 And I’m with you. I don’t know why Sunak goes for the “man of the people, I love Saints, me” approach, it’s all a bit insincere. John Major was an ardent cricket follower, as Sunak is, and there nothing wrong with just saying that’s your main sporting passion. But it’s not even on the scale of Cameron getting confused between Villa and West Ham which was an utter embarrassment, and Blair’s support of Newcastle was always transparently phoney.
  14. Meh. I quite like Starmzy and I reckon he’d be good to go for a beer with. Still plays 5 a side, likes a beer, likes the football (Arsenal fan though), clearly a very intelligent fella and apparently swears like a sailor. His presentation skills need work though.
  15. 🤣🤪 at least double figures of our current squad are members of local clubs, 6 of them were at my club last year. Didnt seem to hurt our promotion chances. Loony.
  16. I don’t think it was deliberate from Starmer. I think he tried to rebutt it early on but instead of talking over Sunak he held back, he looked frustrated that he wasn’t being allowed to make his case against it. In the end he had enough of Sunak repeating it about twenty times so just went “fuck it” and said it was nonsense. I don’t see it as some sort of genius 4D chess strategy though, he was just helped by his inclination of not talking over people, which he seemed to push the limits of the more the debate went on.
  17. Farage and Galloway in one tweet, what an absolute pair of cunts.
  18. From what I’ve seen it matters a great deal and most news outlets are carrying the story negatively. Starmer and Labour have called it a lie and that’s how it’s now being projected. It’s playing out very poorly for the Tories. From what I read earlier it’s not even £2000 a year, it’s £2000 across the course of a parliament, so up to 5 years.

If someone votes for, supports or defends someone/policies from the far left on social media, they are no better. You don’t have to be a full on Corbyn to be an enabler for that kind of antisemitic mindset.

Sounds like something a Tommy Robinson supporter would say........
  21. Just an idea, but the manifestos are out by the end of the week, maybe they're the best indication of just how much substance is being offered.
  22. Disagree. Stramer comes out with credit for calling Sunak a prick. https://x.com/ianrichmiller/status/1798095291859534039
