Well of course; but the point is that the scale of demand for this new kit has taken lots of people by surprise; possibly also the club, hence why they weren't as prepared as they maybe could have been to serve everyone quicker.
-
If the reaction on here is anything to go by then the demand for the shirt has completely surprised everyone; perhaps also the club, hence the significant queues.
-
Is it not better that they told you outright you probably wouldn't get served in time, rather than let you wait for 2 hours? It's obviously proven to be a very popular launch; I guess you've just found out the risks of what can happen when you decide you have to buy something as soon as it comes out?

Di Matteo "handled" the senior players by playing them. AVB had a brief to rejuvenate an ageing side; Lampard's reaction to getting dropped undermined the manager's authority, AVB also made some mistakes, but it all meant that he wasn't backed by the club against the players' revolt and therefore was never going to be able to effectively implement the changes that needed to be made. Chelsea will struggle this year IMO; Lampard is another year older, Drogba has left, Torres' confidence must be floor level after this summer and an old team has gotten another year older. If Rodgers gets it right in the transfer market Liverpool should be hitting the top 4, Spurs should be in and around it too, I can see Chelsea being way off the pace by Christmas.

Reading are better equipped for the Premier League than Southampton
The Kraken replied to Elmore's topic in The Saints
I think you need to take your Saints blinkers off for a second. The article is a snapshot in time of prospects right now, to go alongside the current betting market. Reading have done more than us in the transfer market so far. Pogrebnyak has won the title in Russia and played in the Bundesliga as well as last year in the PL. He's also played 33 times for his country. So he clearly has more top level experience than Rodriguez. J-Rod is arguably the better option long term, Pogrbnyak is a safer bet in the short term. I'm sure other articles will be written and odds changed when Cortese flashes the cash a little bit more and bolsters the squad. Until then I don't see too much wrong with the article, in terms of what we know right now. Of course, the whole concept of Reading being better equipped to stay up yet having longer odds than we do to stay up is thoroughly weird! -
Fine, but I disagree with your assessment of him, he's not amazing but he's better than you give him credit for IMO. Plus he has a decent record for scoring goals, which would be an addition. I think it could be a non-starter because of the fitness issue anyway, he only played 3 times last season (sub as 2 then properly injured in his only start of the season).
-
If he is fit and injury free it would be a great move. Cue plenty on here saying "no way, he's not good enough, we should be aiming higher". Ability-wise, Jenas is superior to anything we have at the moment. But there's obviously a major doubt about his fitness.

I can't work out if you're drunk, or if I'm more drunk than I thought.

Did you really sign up tonight and pay your fiver just to whine about the kit?
-
Getting 1 cap with a sh*thouse team like Wolves is decent. It of course guarantees nothing; just plants a seed in his mind of what he can achieve in the PL. His England career is pretty much over if he stays in the NPC. £10M is a heavy price to pay, I'll agree that, but that's WOlves initial valuation so there's probably some movement possible with the price.

And there was me thinking that the 6-3 the following year had put that myth to bed! -
We can only wear the away shirt 8 times? So we wear the home shirt for 11 away games?
-
Yeah, I find it fairly likely that the PL have to sign off on the kits. But I'm wondering what the possibility it, in this case, to have a nominated 3rd kit for 1 or 2 games where the away kit is deemed inappropriate. Sunderland don't even release their home kit until next month. Have they shown the PL an advanced copy? Probably; but maybe not.
-
I guess we won't find out until December 29th. i don't even know what the rules are in the Premier League for having a third kit. The9??
-
Yeah, that's what I'm saying. Stoke's red & white top, white shorts and socks would be very similar at first glance to our white and red pinstripes, red shorts and red socks. Not the same, that would be stupid to say, but there's a definite potential for confusion which IMO will rule it out. And I thoroughly dislike Stoke so I want all 3 points from them!
-
You see, I can't. Sunderland maybe (with their probably black shorts and socks); but Stoke wear white shorts and socks. Our kit would be almost an inverse of their kit, and potentially very confusing to players at first glance.
-
So MLG is wrong then? Thanks for clearing that up.
-
Do you know this for a fact? That these two kits will be the only kits we use this season? That there's no possibility of a third kit being used? If so, I'll concede the point, if its confirmed that we will not and cannot use a third kit.
