That's the most likely choice. If it's not complete horse-sh*t in the first place, of course.

A brand new poster has just popped up on TUI, creating a thread called: Just passing it on.....
-
So, you've said you're fed up with stripes. You don't like the new kit. And that the sash wouldn't work with a sponsor. Yet you still want something that reflects our history. That really only leaves the quarters, which when we rolled out at The Dell looked f*cking awful IMO. With that in mind, is there a potential kit design you'd actually approve of? Personally, I'll wait and see what the new one is like before commenting, but the mock up on here of the 1980s Rank Xerox one would have been a classic.
-
Hang on, what? We're not going to be playing in stripes?
-
As I said; it appears we may not have offered £6M at all, and its a leak from Brum to try and get the price high.
-
Being as the story seems to now be that we might have baulked at £6m, I'm not sure if it offers any more insight than we previously had. I still think it'll be a total of £15M - £20M by the time the window shuts.

If the clubs have been instrumental in pushing through this whole programme, then they will have been instrumental in setting the benchmarks of it. So it's a pretty good guess that those benchmarks will have been made by analysing what they have done in previous years in terms of bringing players through and making sure that that sort of level of graduation comfortably surpasses the new regs. Which will therefore likely mean Carling cup appearances or whatever to tick the boxes that they themselves have helped to write in the first place.
-
Have they? Have they really? It seems Simon Peach's latest comments suggest that's the exact opposite of what they've done.
-
I meant actually seeing it in real life; rather than just as a planning design. Will be rather impressive when its all done.
-
What's the expected completion date of the training ground? Will certainly be interesting to see the extent of the changes.
-
IMO a sponsor on the front would completely ruin the sash. I'm happy for the sash to remain a classic and timeless kit.

What a complete shambles our ticket office is!!

I didn't comment at the time you were considering trying this, as I didn't want my comment to come across as insensitive. But to be honest I really thought you wouldn't have any chance. Much credit to the club for allowing it; and I hope you enjoy the seat with a lasting memory of your sister. -
I actually do think we'll sign another keeper; but I imagine it will be someone young (18, 19 20), cheap, not yet ready for the first team but with a bit of promise who can play in the development squad for a year or two before potentially coming through to the first team or as second choice. A bit like Forecast was supposed to turn out. I certainly don't think we'll be getting 2 extra keepers who can all push for the first team though.
-
You think we got Jay Rodriguez for £3M up front? Ok then. I'd suggest that's highly unlikely.
-
I did. And I still think you're wrong when you stated that "we have the advantage". I can think of many other PL Cat 1 clubs who I consider would have the advantage over us.
-
I did read it. I just disagreed with it. Slight difference.
-
I'll be honest, I got lost in the irony of him accusing someone else of being tiresome.
-
Really? There were plenty on this forum suggesting that, in the case of Rob Green, his call up for England was pretty much irrelevant.
-
Ah ok, being only 3 or 4 hours from Plymouth, rather than 4 or 5 will be a big advantage. Got ya.
-
The new rules also now allow every single other club with Cat 1 status to scout there too though, don't they?
-
Well of course it is. No-one is surely arguing against that are they? It's only really today come out on this message board just how many clubs are likely to be Cat 1, so its natural to explore the exact benefits of what Cat 1 will bring over other Cat 1 clubs, what benefits there are over non Cat 1 sides, and what effect the changes will have on us (given that larger clubs can now fully scout in localised areas where we have previously been the biggest fish).
-
They both moved to us when they were 16, didn't they? How is this relevant to your point about Plymouth not being able to sign them until 12?
-
The 90 minute thing is beneficial in some respects; but not so much in others at it opens up the same possibilities for every single other club with Cat 1 (which is apparently now going to be a significant number of clubs). You could say it weakens us, in that all Cat 1 clubs outside 90 minutes can now poach the area for all the talent we've previously had a bit of an advantage to sourcing. Our main rivals will be PL clubs, so I fail to see what immediate edge we will have over those with Cat 1 (which it appears will now be the vast majority of them).
-
Szczesny was on loan at Brenford from Arsenal in the first place, so not quite the same thing.
-
Big rivals then. Thanks. This clearly gives us a massive advantage over those clubs compared to what we had before, when you put it like that.
