He isn't coming, but its football so he might, but no one knows.

lol - why thank you. ALT + 232 I think

Isn't it Pellè rather than Pellé?
-
IMO we're not.
-
Saints to win it then, Man C, Arsenal, Chelsea, Spurs, Man U, Liverpool, Everton, Newcastle down this is hard. If Swansea get ripped apart which is a possibility, I would add Villa and one of Leicester/Burnley, probably the latter. If Swansea don't, then both Leicester & Burnely.
-
NO, I never said that. You seem to think that Newcastle shouldn't have an appeal that might be greater than us. I merely pointed out that they were a bigger club and had more resources than we do, which for some reason you fail to acknowledge.
-
So we made £25m more than NUFC in the past year. Over the past three years, our outgoings have also been a lot higher. I think NUFC are up about £25m, while we are down by about the same amount. Then let's not forget gate receipts. NUFC probably take £11m than us in gate receipts every season (just averaging their 20k more supporters per game at £30 a ticket over 19 games, so the reality might be very different). Sponsorship also brings in more for NUFC. They also are on TV more and get more from that than us. They are a bigger club than us - 2012/3 their turnover was £95.9m which was 34% more than ours. That they aren't always doing very well on the pitch is something different.

If reports are true that we are in for Paulinho, would we want to sign Ings as well? IF (and that may be a big one) we did sign him, then it would be...... Paulinho JRod Pelle Gallagher Mayuka Sharp are the ones on the books, although Sharp seems not to be really a CF any more, not that there is any guarantee that the bottom 3 will be here rather than out on loan, nor for that matter JRod.
-
The bit in all this that interests me the most (not from a signing of players perspective), is what happened with MP and his goings on (or not). Unfortunately I suspect that we will never find out, at least not while he is ensconced at Spurs (so actually, it might happen sooner rather than later).
-
Why do you say that? NUFC fan base is bigger than ours. Their average attendance is 67% higher than ours. They have an owner, who despite what people say, has sunk more into the club than most give him credit for. And....he is (possibly) richer than our owner.
-
CB, that's a little harsh. He has an opinion. You may consider it right, you may consider it wrong, but surely the least one can do is give him the courtesy to air it without ad homs coming back at him.
-
Would that be, Burnley selling him, rather than Ings wanting to leave, and indeed leaving next season for nothing. Same result just different PR for all involved. Half the transfers done seem to be about how clubs come out of it all in the eyes of their fans.
-
MLG - you raise an (un)intersting question - do animals smile? I still say that was a yawn, whatever google images labels it as. These would be more appropriate. But fck it, are we getting Ings?
-
I'm being a bit slow here. Guano says smilies only for a while, and then posts a soon to be fur coat yawning on a thread about Ings. Does that mean he finds the thread boring?
-
I for one know that's not Wanyama, who as we all know is the Japanese bloke we have

Legend. (or it doesn't really need words: )

Handsome

Lovren - hunky.

Suppose so, but as it isn't going to happen. Not much point carrying on. Just wanted to say that some people do some extraordinary things. Came across someone who commutes on a weekly basis to and from near London to South Africa.
-
No, but then it doesn't have to be the manager of a football team that does the "commuting" does it?
-
Why does it have to be a daily basis? I know plenty of people who work away from their families all week. Sheesh, people on here are so narrow minded sometimes.
-
Agree. If your hosts turn up with a well publicised problem, then you don't ask about it. It's just bad manners, but then manners seem to have largely disappeared these days. EDIT - of course, in this case, it should be if your visitors turn up with a well publicised problem, not your hosts
-
I suspect, given that it has been reported we have interest and had a bid rejected as well as Burnley saying he is not for sale, that something is happening. There are no guesses as to what the stumbling block would be. So how much would be a fair price in these days of mad transfers? Being in the final year of a contract should mean he is cheaper - £4m? Or is that unrealistically low/high? It is hard to tell these days. At that price, as has been said, Burnley would definitely want to keep, as if he helps keep them up, then £4m is small beer compared to what they would lose through relegation.
-
I know it's hypothetical, but would he go? How secure is the job (rhetorical)? He has his brother and respective families to think of and despite our recent number of managers, he and his (extended) family could be here for quite a number of years. But then this is football, so anything goes.

Plenty easy enough to get to Turin from Soton and a number of airports close enough to Turin Chambery - 135 miles away Verona - 160 miles Grenoble, Geneva and Nice - 180 miles away
