personally, I hope Dejan reads this. While we all agree things have not been handled as they should have been, there is no need to follow him around social media calling him a ****. If he does stay, then all it need take is a small apology and admission that things weren't done right, and life can carry on. Fans are accused (correctly) of being fickle, but players seem to escape that accusation.
-
We certainly do. On the one hand it's very sad, but on the other, the amount of **** that the papers have been throwing our way, plus MP and AL's manner of departure, I guess some have just had enough and aren't thinking straight.

people seem to be overlooking a point MLT made about ambition. There are two types of success and winning trophies: one is earning it with a club like us and the other is being handed it by moving to a club that already has it, like him, I have asked which is more ambitious? While it will be very very difficult, I do not see the top as being a complete closed shop. Virtually so, but not completely.

Was Guly really a better choice than Billy Sharp last season? Guly in the Prem over 2 seasons - 27 appearances, 846 minutes, 0 goals, 2 assists. Anyway, looking at the squad, Gallagher is young enough to play without taking up a spot in the 25 (well, I think that is how it works). Not sure whether Mayuka at 23 is the same, but unless he can, then I would get rid of rather than take a squad place up. He scored a couple of good goals last season but not enough. Osvaldo is off I hope. So Sharp, at present is needed as he appears to be our number 1 striker what with JRod sidelined. I would rather him than Osvaldo, Mayuka and Gallagher. But at 28, if someone offered some money for him, I would sell with 1 year left. This will of course change depending on the number of strikers that come. If it's just Pelle, then I think we would need to keep him. If Pelle and another, say, Ings, then I think Gallagher would be better cover.

Is the general thought that Ings will be coming to SMS?

Liverpool fan reaction's to Suarez - are they for real...

They are trying to replace with Bony for a start. But I don't think you can replace Suarez with just one player, and that to me is the sign of a great player. -

And from that, here is the headline from the Express.....http://www.express.co.uk/sport/football/488264/Furious-Saints-boss-Ronald-Koeman-set-for-showdown-talks-with-Liverpool-wantaway-Lovren -
Well they are saying "more than €70m according to Spanish press"
-
Lambert has no money to play with, so not really a case of him losing it. I imagine that he will be first manager to get the sack with Keane taking over.
-
I saw somewhere that Gerrard won't start every game, so maybe room for him there. I doubt that they are going to leave their most expensive signing on the bench, but you never know. If they carry on signing at the rate they are going, they are going to have some disappointed players not making the 25 man squad.

See that Huw Jenkins is ****ed off with Liverpool for tapping up Bony as a Suarez replacement. Maybe our chairman could have been a little more vociferous. -

The buyout clause was a lot lower for Barca/Real as well. They seem to be getting excited about the transfer fee and have plumped for the highest quoted of £75m. As mentioned elsewhere, I suspect that the fee was €80m. I believe they bought Bale in € rather than £ - very convenient for Liverpool to try and convince their fans that they have done better than they actually have by conveniently ignoring the exchange rate. Transfermarkt claim it is £71.28m which would be about €90m Anyway, I hope they really struggle. Their fans aren't overly happy at the moment, and I suspect that they won't with whoever they sign to replace him. Give the biter his due, he was a damn good player. -

Who is this ****ing woman asking about Suarez and Van Gaal? -
Pathetic, but it did make me laugh
-
How do you know it is only £64m? I am never sure whether papers really understand the difference between £ and €. €80m at £1.25:€1 = £64m so it might be right, but who knows?
-
Obviously they don't rate Lovren as highly as we do.
-
As long as you add YNWA, you can say what you like and the Scousers will be jizzing themselves.
-
Nope, just the first excuse. I think he should be able to carry on running with the ambitious club bit - inconvenient Suarez leaving but, he'll still use it. No doubt if that looks a bit shaky we will hear the fantastic history and wonderful fans. Then maybe CL. And then finally huge wages.
-
Depends if they are now paying sensible wages or still chucking money at anyone and everyone. BTW, what is happening with their FFP problems?
-
To be honest, we wasted so many chances and so much possession came to nothing due to a poor final ball. I believe that JRod created the most clear cut chances (not sure what counts as one) in the league. As the season went on, Jrod really came into his own. Hopefully he can regain that. I love his energy and enthusiasm, but as a target man????
-
I hope he stays and does well. He arrives with NA. I think it obvious that he found it hard to adjust to the league. It happens a lot and he did seem to get knocked off the ball far too easily. MP arrives and doesn't really fancy him. Coupled with injuries, his appearances were a bit bitty and I am not sure that anyone can really play their best under these situations. Now that RK is in the seat, he has another chance (that is if he doesn't leave or get pushed out). I do believe that players perform differently under different managers. Reports seem to suggest that RK's man management is pretty good - I am not going to diss MP's man management skills, as he got a pretty tight knit squad, but the mention of the clique that he had isn't good. I would love to know more about that if anyone knows, but it would appear that Gaston was not part of it. His agent was continually saying he wanted to be off, and of all the players we had, he seemed the least included (along with Jack Cork, although that changed when Big Vic was injured). So I am hoping (hopefully not naively) that RK can unlock the obvious talent the boy has, and get him playing to his full potential. Tadic on the left, Ramirez on the right.

I do think that there is a lot of this sort of "stalking horse" activity that goes on. There may well be a lot of truth in it as well......if it ain't going to happen at the right price, then the club would be a bit foolish to hang around until the last week of August, where no doubt prices go even higher.
-
Can someone tell me what the club's ambitions have been lowered from and what they now are?

How about this for a reason? https://uk.eurosport.yahoo.com/blogs/pitchside/chelsea-paying-little-known-youth-player-20-000-082850946.html
