Ah, tennis players...... Think that this girl has a few assets worth checking out. I give you Simona Halep, who is going in for a bit of surgery.

Can't watch the women playing tennis as this grunting is so f***ing off putting. It's worse than Japanese porn and they don't half moan in those flicks.

Got 10 Sussex Lights. Why 10 I have no idea as it was the Mrs who decided. They are relatively young and first started laying on Easter. I am now averaging 65-70 eggs a week!! No rats yet. Maybe they don't like the terrier. One less fox than there used to be. Easy to look after, with the only hassle being that if you want to keep them alive, you should shut them up at night. And they produce a lot of ****.

Small Independent Retailers Going To The Wall
angelman replied to View From The Top's topic in The Lounge
I also think that the internet does cause a lot of problems. People, like me, use shops as a shop window to look at the goods and then go on line to get it cheaper. I was recently in B'mouth buying some trousers. Shop price £65, their own web price £46. While the shop is a lot more expensive to run, I am afraid that if there is going to be a 40% price difference from the same company, then I am always going to buy on-line. I asked whether they would match their on-line price and they said no! They added that if people always did that they would soon have to close their shop. What would you do? Pay a 40% surcharge so that they could keep their shop open? -
Small Independent Retailers Going To The Wall

I am not so sure it is. Around my neck of the woods, I suppose that I have Bournemouth, Christchurch, Ringwood, New Milton, Lymington. Of those I guess Lymington is the most affluent, and while there are some smaller indys, it is generally the mainstream retailers that you find throughout the country. Out of interest, which town were you thinking of? If that is the only reason then maybe buinesses "deserve" not to survive. You can either make this arrangement with your landlord, as I am sure that he would prefer monthly to quarterly as he gets it in quicker, or if for some reason he couldn't take it, then why not set up a system where you pay into another account on a monthly basis and then to the landlord 1/4ly? -
Sergei, thanks for reminding me of that incident. It is interesting that people's views and even the Equality Act doesn't quite see everything equally. If the MP was black and you mocked him because of his colour then the would be somewhat of a different reaction to him being mocked because of his disability.

One of my old mates had a girlfriend who worked for the BBC with Suzannah Reid. I got a signed photo of her (a crap photo) which was nice I guess, but would have preferred her undies!

I think that limit is 200. If you bring in 400 then, if caught, I think that you get asked to pay the Duty on it, providing that you haven't been trying to conceal too deeply. It is up to the discretion of the Customs official. You are liable, I believe, to a fine and confiscation. Obviously if you try and bring in a container load, then you are done for smuggling and likely to get a stretch of a few years.

OMG! Look at the size of that nose!

"prepared to go to a Championship side which “has the ambition” to get to the top flight" = will pay his wage demand. Seriously, how can anyone think that a club which currently has 8 players on their books, owners who are almost absent, a CVA and not much else, have ambition?

Can imagine that when people are given these that they will sell them straight away and the share price will bomb. As it is, I wouldn't mind being compensated for my lost dividend from LTSB that used to pay very handsomely before Brown and Lloyds colluded to **** it up. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/comment/jeffrandall/3442788/Whats-wrong-with-Lloyds-takeover-of-HBOS-Just-follow-your-nose.html

Wonder where the €450m loan went?

Could this be about agents knowing (or thinking they know) that there is a lot of money available, asking over inflated prices/wages, NC not entertaining their demands? Chelsea and Man City may well have more money than sense, but it doesn't mean that the rest of the footballing world has to follow suit. At the end of the day, NC is a businessman who is acting in the best interests of the owner (and ex-owner). I am sure that there is a very good business plan in place, which does not involve us over stretching ourselves massively by paying huge fees and wages.

If they want a tasty beer that isn't too strong but would still keep the punters happy, rather than 49er, Ringwood Best would be good.

I find it amusing this argument about having a short playing career. Can't they get another job after they finish playing? In the olden days, they seemed to, but now, they like to think that they can retire after football. A lot of the PL players can, and good luck to them. But I agree that there is nothing wrong in trying to maximise your earnings, and if Chelsea were offering £10-20k (or possibly more) than the next club, then it would be hard to turn that down. To a certain extent I think clubs like Chelsea don't mind taking these type players and keeping them as back-up because it also stops their competitors playing them. As for Bridgey, I always thought that his main problem was that he could only use one foot. In our team that didn't matter so much, as that was more than adequate. I always thought that he was one of our best players, but I guess that is the difference between us and Chelsea. They can afford the best, and when you but WB up against someone who could use both feet and be more defensively minded, he looked a little out of place. That shouldn't have mattered at WHU, but I wonder how his form was affected by having not played that often. Years Team Apps† (Gls)† 1998–2003 Southampton 151 (2) 2003–2009 Chelsea 87 (1) 2006 → Fulham (loan) 12 (0) 2009– Manchester City 42 (0) 2011 → West Ham United (loan) 15 (0) Will be interesting to see what he does now that he is approaching 31. If he could play to his best ability, I guess he has 4 maybe 5 years at the top. He could do worse in respect of his playing career to drop down a division (probably on loan) but that might not suit his financial plans.

When living in London took the Mrs to 3 games (all the same season) at Chelsea, QPR and Wimbeldon (Selhurst Park). Goals for 1; goals against 9. Never again. She's cool with me going off, but prefers mid-week.

PS...the bit about public sector earning more, is biggest at the lowest end of things. Those at the top end don't "compete" with the private sector, but then we don't really care as they are already well remunerated. And this is all before their pension.

Are teacher's that badly paid? I always was told (a bit jokingly) that the reasons they became teachers was "August". http://www.teachers.org.uk/node/12716 Also.. I would point out this bit from ONS. This is a little out of date, but can't think that the private sector has increased things at all so the gap maybe even more. "The difference between the median level of full-time earnings in the public sector (£554 per week) and the private sector (£473 per week) widened over the year to April 2010, following annual increases of 3.0 per cent and 2.0 per cent respectively."

Wonder if he is going to take on a Nottingham accent. Loved his Dutch one, which seem to help him at Twente. Not sure when at Wolfsburg, whether he took to speaking English with a German accent, that might have been his problem.
-
Their real ale seems to be on sale before and after the game but not at half time. Personally I would not choose SMS as top spot to have a drink. I would love a Ringwood Best or 49er at half time.

Is wearing an old shirt really that bad, and are you embarrassed about it or something? Who really cares? If you feel pressurised into buying the latest of everything then that's up to you, but the older you get, the less important it becomes. I am sure that not having the latest shirt isn't going to make you a "worse" fan.
