From the Mirror article, I like Warnock's words.... Speaks volumes, I think, about how others within the game view Pompey, although Warnock is one of the more outspoken people in a fairly closed shop.

I see 3 points. 1} you might be told that there are no negatives, but in reality your card will be marked as someone not ambitious enough. Later down the line it might come back as the person who turned down a move. 2 & 3} Only you can answer this. Why not marry her and then move, that way she would have to come with you. You seem to have reached that stage of being without her would be upsetting which I guess means marriage (if that is a possibility). If she loves you then have you thought that she might actually come with you so that she can be with you? Is she set on Coventry? And if Scotchland was only for a couple of years, I could think of worse places to be.

If we can't have the Rank Xerox one (ahh....Steve Moran), how about the 1976-80 strip. A bit old fashioned but...still got one that I best get my kids into soon

Smith doesn't really get it does he. Fantastic supporters blah blah blah weren't complaining when splashing the cash. Asking how a recent FA Cup and near bankruptcy in such a short time, shows that football men really should stick to what happens on the pitch. But I do love the bit about a new stadium generating money. Smith might be looking at us and our increased gates, but there is no point in building a new stadium if you can't fill your existing one.

Would that include Lauren Booth?

and be careful with sites that say "no sales tax" and then say that they are shipping from Australia. You might get a bill, Duty and VAT.

PS - I looked into their ticketing prices and came across this and I can't see why they are complaining about the £15 ticket price.

"I'm not sure whether they still think they're a Manchester United or a Chelsea - they're playing among the smaller fry of the Football League now," "so if I were them I'd be a bit more respectful to other teams in the League," I find this all a bit ironic. Turner's not being overly respectful in referring to clubs as "smaller fry". But..... I am with others as I do think that it was wholly unnecessary to wash the dirty linen in public. What was to be achieved by doing it apart from making Shrewsbury look greedy? Do we come out as some paragon of virtue? Let's be realistic - they probably do need the money. We can afford it and can be a bit blazé about lowering the price, but it rather discounts the needs of Shrewsbury, who were perfectly within their rights to not agree to it. Maybe they need an extra £20-30k (or what ever it is) to pay the staff. The FA Cup does give opportunities to clubs, who don't have the biggest income in the world, to cash in. Why do so many clubs want to draw Man Utd at Old Trafford? Not because 99 times out of a 100 they are going to get beaten, is it? Shrewsbury's highest attendance this season has been 6993 so any extra income has to be welcome, and I think that it is arrogant of us to have done this. If the club was worried about ticket prices, maybe they could have lowered the price on a League game (although hard to refund ST holders) or not charged so much in the first place.

I agree that alcohol is the most harmful drug, as it is (currently) the only one I take.
-
Badger it seems that I am one day older than you - whipper snapper
-
Excessive water consumption will kill you.
-
Much better that Inter pay Udinese directly - save a little in bank charges as well.
-
PS - do you think that Coca-Cola could then make their original recipe again?
-
Badger - that is a peach of a question. I imagine that certain countries would have to have government or government approved farms that would grow this. Bit like my father who once grew dope (the stuff without the THC) who had to go through a long process to get a licence.

think that you should for a start replace the 12 dividing the sum at the end by G5

Interesting that people have portrayed alcohol as the worst because of, amongst other things, the crime. It's a bit like blaming a gun for killing people rather than the person pulling the trigger. While I realise that it loosens people's inhibitions, it doesn't have to. I have been as drunk as many times as the next person, but I have not been involved in a fight nor been arrested. I don't go and cause petty crime either. On the health front, what has happened to personal responsibility? I work in the booze trade and have a lot of it around me. I have a drink most nights (or probably 360 nights a year) but I am not an alcoholic.

truth be told, if I had to choose one the cities to live in, it would be..............(sorry I just can't bring myself to say it).

And why is wormwood legal in this country if marijuana isn't? That contains thujone which is similar to THC.
-
No, not really, but that is also a foolish law. It was slightly better when it was against the law to dry them rather than just pick them. I went for a walk in the woods the other day and found a skunk plant growing.

So Gemmel, are you trying to say that the CVA says that creditors will be paid only if Pompey can afford it and if there is no money in the bank then they won't get any? That sounds a really appealing deal and quite frankly hope that actually turns out to be the case and that those who voted for it get nothing for being so stupid.
-
Not sure really. The person who I knew best who took heroin is no longer with us. Not sure many of my other friends have really taken it. I know one but he a} talks a lot of bull's hit and b} did say that he scared himself ****less and would never do it again.

So you would criminalise everyone who keeps a bit of fruit or veg (or orange juice etc etc etc) out for a bit too long?
-
What complete and utter tosh. Alcohol wasn't invented by man (although distilling spirits was). Alcohol is a natural by product of fermentation. For example, you leave a bit of fruit hanging about with a bit of warmth and the chances are that it will turn alcoholic. Check out this link which demonstrates fermenting pumpkins and their affects. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0so5er4X3dc
