The Judge seems to be getting confused in what his role is. He isn't there to make sure that a company survives, but he is there to uphold the law of the land. The law of the land is quite clearly on the side of HMRC and whether the company survives or not is really rather immaterial. I also think that whether HMRC is better off or not taking the legal route, rather than the spurious CVA one, is also immaterial. It looks to me like the judge has looked at the company through some rose tinted glasses and thought that because it is a football club that it somehow doesn't have to abide by the same laws as every other company in the country does. High profile? Who gives a monkey. If you want an example of a high profile company going to the wall, that both employed a lot more people (30,000 or so), had a **** load more customers, and whose turnover (at it's peak) was far and above that of PCFC and had an impact in many more communities than just Pooey, you just have to look at Woolworths.

28% - **** me that's a bit steep. I am sure that Ocean Finance would have been cheaper. If he is charging that much then I don't think that he really is in it for the long run. While I realise that no one else would have lent any money at all, 28% is a huge amount to repay. I presume to lift the embargo then he will have to loan the company some more. So he has lent them £17m, so let's round that up to £50m to clear most of the footballing debts and what he has already lent. I presume that it will still be at 28%, so that could be £14m in interest payments alone per year. If 28% on only his £17m loan, then that is near £5m a year. The fish may be crowing today, but tomorrow is another day and I have a feeling that they might be a little anti-Chainrape in a few weeks/months time.

Just to be the cherry on top of the cake, I read that PCFC have been awarded £200k in the interim for costs.
-
IS the £35k they owe us for the FA Cup tickets? AS previously mentioned surely this is a footballing debt. I am a bit confused as to what is and what isn't a footballing debt.
-
So what's all the bollix with the car park for then? Is that just for show? I suppose the £28m, which is Gayboy Snr's anyway, goes to pay off his debt to Chainrape.
-
What happens if PCFC break the terms of the CVA? What happens then? I am sure that it won't matter as if anyone does buy the club, then I am sure that they could find a few £m to sort out the mugs. Still can't understand why Gayboy voted for the CVA. Seems that he must have been stitched up over it, hence why he is playing silly bug*ers over the car park.

They won't be pariahs. Football is one bastardised business and money is more important than morals.

So what is Chainrai going to do with it? OK there are some parachute payments left to come, but footballing debts of, what, £50m, no squad and a **** ground, still doesn't add up to much. The embargo is still in place until all footballing debts are paid off. In order to do that Chainrai will have to dig deep, which while he may loan the money to the company (no doubt with a decent interest rate), will he be prepared to do it? I still don't see why anyone would buy the club with it's secured debt, as well as the unsecured debt, as there is nothing to buy. It will be interesting to see what Chainrai does. I suppose he can pay off all the debt, ship in lots of overpaid players (mercenary pieces of **** that they are) and get promoted. That would be galling but I really can't see that happening. Promotion from the Championship isn't that easy and there is no squad in place yet. Having been told that they were trading while insolvent months ago, I am not quite sure that I really understand how they have got to this position. I hope that the Tax Payers Alliance might have something to say about this.

So you are not very attractive in the trousers department?

more than happy to have the Cherries as the local rivals as they are closer to me than the Skates.
-
I presume the £1.5m, £1.7m etc was the PL paying the players' wages.

I think his absence speaks volumes. I suppose for one, as he isn't in the country he can't be asked any questions. Apart from that, as administrator he should be there, and not be leaving it to the lawyers. Who in their right mind would do this, if they were trying to ensure the club's survival and get a CVA through? Me, I am still sticking to Chanirai wanting to take vacant possession of Fratton Park.
-
That is if his signature gets on the paperwork before Saturday (or is it Sunday). He might agree to join Titties but if he signs his contract on Monday then he will be due the payment. Which is what I would do. Not sure many people give up £140,000 that easily.
-
I too thought that overseas clubs were considered secured, hence why some of their last TV money was held back to pay both UK and EU based clubs.
-
So the PL reasoning that it would adversely affect other clubs is only relevant if it happens in England? Still say that clubs should act like other businesses and only sell to other companies if they are sure that they are going to get paid. Forget all the deferred payment plans and stump up 100% straight away.

With the Football Creditors Rule, does anyone know what happens in Europe when a club goes into administration? For example, what happened with Real Mallorca?

Funniest Rumours of summer signings from days gone by
angelman replied to Turkish's topic in The Saints
not quite a signing, but still find the Paul Allen buying us quite amusing. -
WTF is Cameron on? Turkey would be a disaster. There are 77 million of them and who is going to pay for them? Their GDP per capita is USD 11,200 compared to the UK's USD 35,200 and EU average of USD 32,600. Not only that but the whole country apart from a small zit, is in Asia. And 99.8% of the population are Muslim (mostly Sunni) , which flies against the general make up of Europe.

I think that you are being a little unfair on PompeyScot. He at least seems to realise that they should fill their team with 11 youngsters as we did, while most seem to think that they should be signing top class players.
-
I think that these two ladies, who are a bit on the large side, are really rather attractive (not sure if they could be classes as BBW or not) http://blog.lib.umn.edu/ande4192/blaine/2ontruck.jpg

Is this a good car? Yes and No. Depends.

How do image rights work (apart from the obvious of subsidising a player's wage)? Are Poopey saying that by using the image rights of the players that they have received some income from it? Who from? Or is it just using a player's picture in the match day programme and other advertising schemes? I presume that Poopey will have a detailed breakdown of when a player's image is used/"sold" so that would be quite interesting.

Oh not sure about the Skates going down. With defending like that (especially for the 2nd goal) they should be safe............
