  1. I can wait.
  2. The danger with all this 'WOW' business is that when we all do find out there is a danger of us all being underwhelmed. This has Ford Edsel written all over it.
  3. Oh, very good.
  4. That was a fairy ring. It's where the fairies gather round in a huddle.
  5. It's difficult to say after just a few minutes playing time, but it's going to take some time before he's a confident, dominating, fully-integrated essential member of the team.
  6. Has she left too ???
  7. I blame the multiball. We've never played well when we're using it.
  8. No worries. My big worry is that we've seen all this before. For once, I really thought that we were on the way up but we appear to have slipped backwards at least three months.
  9. There must be something wrong with me. I agree with all of the above.
  10. I agree with every word you said, and yes, I had the misfortune to be there. I was trying to inject a little feeble humour into a very depressing week. I'm off out of the country for a couple of weeks and by the time I get back it had better be sorted, or else. And for what it's worth, I thought we were worse than you described.
  11. Looked far too tense, lacking confidence, trying a bit too hard perhaps. But that could be said of all of them.
  12. Don't hold back '76, tell us what you really think.
  13. Of course it must reduce sales, but it's difficult to determine by how much. It's simple-minded to think that people will buy tickets in advance instead of on the day. They won't, they'll just do something else. Whoever took this decision knows nothing about the mindset of the typical football supporter.
  14. So you can go back to 2004 and change history?
  15. Well put, Professor, you mirror my feelings exactly. Still, what's done is done and we need to get back on track sharpish.
  16. I believe his record for Tottenham was quite good. The fans didn't fall in love with him. His answer to everything was "ve must verk harder" (in a Swiss accent, of course)
  17. Not on Tuesday's performance, if that is the correct word for it.
  18. Do you mean British nationality, of part of Britain, or part of the British Isles?
  19. Well Mutu had to pay Chelsea £14m in the end for breach of contract after testing positive for cocaine. If this dismissal happened a few weeks ago and if it was for violent conduct towards another member of staff then the individual or individuals involved would usually be sent home or else the employer could be in danger of providing a potentially unsafe working environment.
  20. 'Et in Arcadia Nos' ?
  21. I'll feel happier and more confident once we get the right man installed. At the moment it's a balls-up, whatever the cause.
  22. Ah! Constructive dismissal!
  23. You still have to follow the correct procedure, or the dismissal will be 'automatically unfair'. It's a minefield which must be trodden carefully.
  24. Geographically it is, politically it isn't. 'That which we call a rose, by any other name would smell as sweet'.
  25. Thanks, Buctootim, thats the clearest that I have yet to see. The Channel Islands are a strange case though, being part of the British Islands but not part of the British Isles although since 1st January 1983 they are part of the UK for nationality purposes. http://www.ukba.homeoffice.gov.uk/sitecontent/documents/policyandlaw/nationalityinstructions/nisec2gensec/Britishoverseasterritories?view=Binary
