They just won’t stop talking. Sometimes it seems that they feel that they have to say something. I know that if those two were sitting me they wouldn’t get through the game in one piece.
-
Apparently on Prime there is an option to have ‘no commentary’.
-
I understand the desire for such information but a cursory glance tells you how unreliable it is. Fitness measurements are not in dispute as they are independent of external factors but the flow of a football match has too many independent variables to enable any meaningful analysis beyond so-and-so had a good game. As to influencing the starting lineup, that would explain a lot. As a lawyer might say, “I rest my case”.
-
Does that mean he also gets the ‘assist’?
-
They are not ‘shit’. They just give decisions that you don’t agree with.
-
Please spare us these nonsensical ’metrics’. Football cannot be analysed to such precision.
-
Not a chance. We were miles behind the other teams and whilst a better keeper might (might) have earned us a few more points we would still have been comfortably relegated.
-
They have plenty of competition.

Especially ones that talk too much. This applies to male commentators too.

Irritating northern accent.

Time added on at Luton until Arsenal can score the winner.

They’re all migrants themselves. They fly in and they fly out again.

The difference between Wednesday and Saturday was that he no longer had Sulemana on the wing in front of him. I don’t like the way that he sits way inside near the centre line leaving his opposing right winger twenty yards of time and space to look up and play in a measured cross.

I thought he looked quite lively and useful when he came on last Saturday. -
The goal came out of the blue. Totally took me by surprise and the Cardiff defence too.

Indeed it is. Saturday 25th for ‘t Cup and Sunday 26th for our promotion celebrations. Which would we prefer? Winning the Cup or promotion? -
Yes, why does Manning stick inside and ignore his winger like that? I have lost count of the number of times I have seen the opposition right winger with at least twenty yards of space. On Wednesday several good chances were created from crosses from that wide position.
-
I’m not really bothered but when anybody says something like “He only had one save to make” I come over all pedantic.
-
Watching the extended highlights of Wednesday’s game it struck me how fortunate we were not to concede from the many good chances that Bristol City created.
-
Have you conveniently ignored all the ones that didn’t?
