  1. Not enough one touch football in the Premier League for me. It slows the game down and suffocates chances.
  2. Not just you
  3. My wife was waiting for an order from Next. She had a text saying that it would be delivered between 12:30 and 13:30. Then at 13:45 she had another saying that it would be delivered between 14:30 and 16:30. She was sitting in the lounge and she heard something being put through the letterbox. She looked out of the window and saw the EVRI driver rushing back to his van so she ran out barefoot to catch him. Her car was in the garage so he thought there was nobody at home. Her car is always in the garage. He left the delivery with our neighbours whose two cars were outside but when she knocked on their door they didn’t answer. She had to call again later.
  4. Ronaldo has been doing that all his career. He has very quick feet and invites some sort of minimal contact whereupon both his legs collapse as though he has been poleaxed. Try that in a Sunday morning and you wouldn’t escape in one piece.
  5. He certainly wasn’t ’tripped’.
  6. When in Rome…
  7. Maik Taylor?
  8. Better.
  9. Surely that would be MLT?
  10. Sorry, I get the point but I did not make myself clear. They are slow and ponderous now yet they were doing better behind closed doors. Maybe they haven’t been able to hear Ralph in recent times.
  11. Things are going to be black this Friday.
  12. xG never won a game of football.
  13. Perhaps that was part of the problem? If he was micro-managing the team during the game it’s no wonder that they were slow and ponderous up in their play. He was treating every match like a game of Subbuteo.
  14. Understandable. Personally I have just come back from three weeks away and I have a lot of work to catch up with. I have just noticed the kick off times which are mostly in the afternoons with some evening ones at 7:00 pm. I have virtually no chance of being allowed to watch anything at that time unless I want to go out and sit in the shed, but I’d have to buy a shed first. I really can’t be arsed.
  15. Not true. I can’t be arsed and I suspect there are others.
  16. Which Donkey?
  17. I thought it was Good Queen Vic that couldn’t accept it?
  18. It depends where it is held. Edit: 1954 at the Wankdorf stadium in Bern the final was played in heavy rain.
  19. Air conditioned indoor sports arena. Nothing like proper football. Rain, sun, wind, all non-existent. Like you I have no interest in this World Cup whatsoever. I shall have to find something else to do instead.
  20. It's a farce of a tournament. Artificial games in artificial stadiums at a ridiculous time of the year.
  21. Cancel the whole thing now.
  22. They're miles ahead of us.
  23. I have now given up banging my head against the wall. In future I shall start charging for my basic maths lessons. They are doing great. They have been doing great. They will continue to be doing great. The UK by comparison continues to struggle along in the slow lane. Just get it into your cloth-eared mind that an annual percentage growth comparison tells you nothing about your current standard of performance. Maybe it's just to complicated for you. No shame in admitting it.
  24. Nope. Not me. You obviously don't understand my point, which doesn't surprise me. I would suggest that you try harder but the intellect isn't there. But there again, a year by year differential comparison is beyond your understanding.
  25. Try to take a look at the base figures. A year by year comparison is meaningless if it's from a shit base.
