Nearly £100m worth of 'Talent' not on the pitch yesterday
Whitey Grandad replied to spyinthesky's topic in The Saints
Came on at 90+2 minutes. You could be forgiven for missing him. -
What on Earth have the last 2 games got to do with Puel?
-
48 points??? The football was worse than boring.

Ryan Bertrand - not fit to be captain, a disgrace
Whitey Grandad replied to davefoggy's topic in The Saints
Targett is a shît Left Back. -
On 46 points with a goal difference of -7 The team in 13th position had 44 points. I don’t call that a good season.
-
And Long. He slipped at least four times. Mind you, the opposition never seem to have any problems.
-
They were worse than that. The swear filter won't let me say what I really think.

Can I be greedy and ask for both?
-
You can say that again.

3 in each of the last four league games. Did you forget Newcastle?

1. Appointing Pellegrino. 2. Nor sacking Pellegrino in November/December/January etc. 3. Not replacing Fonte/VVD with top-class defenders.

Strange results happen over the last few games of the season. No, I can’t see it either. 3 o’clock kickoffs on a Saturday here we come
-
Yep, I totally agree. (Except for Sims). At 2-1 take the steam out of the game. And what the f*** were they trying to do for Hazard’s goal. We had 8 players to their 4 and they still gave Hazard time and space to kill the ball and blast it into the net. That’s the trouble with trying to pack the box, the man-marking goes out of the window.
-
It wasn’t his fault that our defence was sh!t.
-
This complaining about where the kick was taken from is all very feeble though. They took the kick from where the offence (if any) actually occurred but not from where Mike Dean was pointing. We were naive and got caught out. Instead of the players complaining about the location they should have got back and defended. Does a few yards on the halfway line make any difference when the ball is played out to the wing?

Guido Carrillo - Official: Free Transfer to Elche
Whitey Grandad replied to Mr X's topic in The Saints
Chelsea wouldn’t have gone for Carrillo and Giroux wouldn’t have come to us. But it’s a depressing thought. -
Wembley Stadium turned out so expensive that the FA had to try to maximise revenue wherever possible., hence they want to use Wembley as much as possible. I agree with you, it's not the place for a semi final.

Jan Bednarek - Official: Signs for Porto
Whitey Grandad replied to Pamplemousse's topic in The Saints
He first needs to learn to start throwing his body in front of shots instead of turning away and waving his foot at them. -
Another sad loss. I read at the weekend that he had suffered a serious heart attack and was not surprised to see that he did not survive it. I take a personal interest in such things because I too was 61 when I suffered my heart attack which fortunately was only a modest one. Alan Ball died of a heart attack at the age of 61 too and Markus was only a few months older when he also suffered the same fate. Let's be thankful for what he was as a man as well as a footballer. My thoughts are with his family.

Doesn’t attack the ball head-on, let’s it bounce first. No positional discipline and goes chasing rabbits. Doesn’t have the authority to organise the defensive line. Has some good points but these are outweighed by the negatives. Would benefit from a spell in a lower division.
-
So Pellegrino’s principles might have cost us our Premier League status.
-
Well bully for you. I’m all right jack doesn’t begin to describe it.

The lethality depends upon the dose and the age of the active agent, I am led to believe. Depending on the dose the effects can take some time to manifest themselves.

I was just passing on what I read this morning, but I'm sure that there is a lot more to this incident than we shall ever now. Just to throw this in too: https://www.thelondoneconomic.com/opinion/why-the-cambridge-analytica-scandal-could-be-much-more-serious-than-you-think/27/03/amp/ "A source close to Skripal has said he was investigating the collusion between the Internet Research Agency, AIQ, Cambridge Analytica and its parent company, SCL."

What Is The Most Amazing Place In The World That You Have Been Too
Whitey Grandad replied to Gemmel's topic in The Lounge
Still just a city though, innit.
