The United Kingdom and the Death of Boris Johnson as we know it.

To use your own way of putting it - pony! I and many others despised the bloke long before he nailed his colours to that particular mast, because it was obvious even as far back as when he first appeared on HIGNFY what a loathsome excuse for a human being he is... You keep referring to him as a Pinko, but in reality he isnt anything and doesn't fit into any pigeon hole. He is a man completely without substance or morals and who has no particular ideological principles. The only reason he decided to support Leave was because he saw which way the wind was blowing and decided that his own personal ambition was best served by opposing Cameron on the matter. Only a few months before the 2016 referendum he was writing articles in support of staying in the EU. If he had stuck to his guns on that then you would undoubtedly have just as much contempt for him now as you showed to all the other pro-Remain Tories. But then sticking to his guns and staying true to what he believes is something of which the colossal prick is utterly incapable. -

Ah so you've been following Julia Hately Brewer on Twitter then. Obviously you are genuinely such a fucking idiot that you can't tell the difference between someone who once tried to commit suicide because of poverty showing how you can make a desperation meal for 11p if you absolutely have to, and a privileged MP suggesting people can actually sustain themselves on it without considering for one second the reasons why so many people in the country with the 5th largest economy in the world are forced to live in such poverty in the first place. Congratulations on surpassing yourself. Maybe have a read of Jack's own words on the subject... https://cookingonabootstrap.com/2022/05/12/whats-the-difference-between-jack-monroe-suggesting-budget-recipes-and-a-tory-mp/?amp=1 -

Oh look. Instead of us discussing how stupid and counterproductive BJ's idea to save the economy by laying off a shit load of civil servants is, the usual suspects on here would prefer to talk about how lazy and privileged those civil servants are. It's almost as if the whole story was intended just as a distraction. Does anybody else smell the rotting carcass of a cat or is it just me? -

And so the demonisation of public sector workers begins. Like clockwork. -

Who exactly was lauding him as a hero? -

It is possible to cook a meal for 30p, if you're cooking for large numbers and can benefit from economies of scale. It isn't possible, however, to maintain a balanced, nutritious diet, incorporating your 5 a day and getting all the necessary vitamins and minerals, living solely on 30p meals. You'd be seeing the doctor for scurvy in a pretty short time if you tried. -
A lengthy thread, and I know nothing of the author so can't verify thd validity of her claims, but it's consistent with many other reports. Things are going from bad to worse for Russia. Whatever the true objective was, there's no way they can achieve it now.

To nobody's surprise, Johnson shows even more contempt of parliament and of the electorate. -
It was 1-1 at SMS wasn't it? Your point still stands though.
-
Now if Watford could find a late winner, that would be lovely.
-
My Missus is watching the Watford v Everton game and it sounds like it's got 0-0 written all over it.
-
Well Leeds are out to 50/1 now, so if you want to get a cheeky insurance bet on in case the worst happens, now is the time.
-
Scored by a Skate as well.
-
It's hard to give any credibility to anything this guy says when the article includes such statements as: "I’m no expert on the history of Russia or Ukraine" and "I have no particular expertise in foreign policy" What exactly qualifies you to write stuff like this then fella? 🤔
-
So it could all come down to GD now then. Shit.
-
And if they do, it won't be the first time Gerrard will be responsible for a late slip up in a Liverpool title bid.
-
I see what you did there Nothing suspicious about this at all. Move along.

If you mean Ian Blackford, he caught a train to his home in Skye to isolate himself from his wife who was in a high risk category. "Stay at home" was the message, remember? Not even in the same ball park as organising a party is it. You just don't get it do you. It doesn't matter whether you think the rules should have been introduced or not. Johnson set the rules and wilfully broke them because he didn't think they applied to him, becoming the first ever sitting Prime Minister of this country to be found guilty of a criminal offence, and repeatedly lied to the house about it. You can't get much further into the gutter with morals like that. -

But that's exactly my point. They were voted through almost unanimously because they all felt it was necessary. They can't possibly now play it down and say "well the rules were pointless anyway so it doesn't matter". It's not what the specific rules were that matters here, it's the principle. How do you not understand that? -

That argument doesn't make any sense. If a Prime Minister presents a set of rules to the nation, goes on air and explains these rules to everyone and why it is critical that everyone follow them, then wilfully breaks them himself on multiple occasions (and claims ignorance, and then lies about it, over and over again) and refuses to resign because some people think the rules were stupid and unnecessary - what message does that send out? Whether or not you agree with the rules being introduced in the first place is completely irrelevant. The fact is they were, and for the man who set and announced them to break them numerous times, claim he didn't even know he had broken them, and then repeatedly lie to the house about it, in any sane society is a resigning matter. The fact that Johnson thinks it's OK for him to carry on shows that he and his cronies have no integrity whatsoever. -

And so it begins. Johnson's enablers are already defending the possibility of him staying in post if Starmer resigns. Kit Malthouse said on LBC “Obviously in any situation where, you know, the rules were moving around, there were misunderstandings or mistakes were made, and apologies are made and they are accepted, then people of all walks of life should be able to keep their jobs. But Keir Starmer has to speak for himself and set his own standards.” A more shameless bunch of sycophants you will never find. -
Yeah there's no way a Saints team in poor form under RH could ever lose by such a big margin so that definitely won't happen. Oh, hang on...

There we go then. Starmer has announced he will resign if he receives a fine. Gauntlet well and truly thrown down.
