Yeah I was thinking similar. Plenty of people on here have been critical of the 'against the ball' philosophy in recent times, but yesterday highlighted just how important that aspect of the game is. Really? I didn't see him make any saves that you wouldn't expect any semi competent keeper to make. And he made a hash of a couple of those by palming them right back into the danger area too. Saving a 'sure' goal, IMO, is when a keeper pulls off an unexpected save of a shot that's heading right into the corner. I've genuinely never seen Baz do that - ever.

What worries me is that he will be expecting game time. He didn't come to us to be backup, and I know Everton have historically included clauses in their loan agreements stating the loaning club must pay X amount each time their man doesn't play.

Yep, me too. Missed every game so far due to other engagements. Was really looking forward to actually getting to watch for the first time this season, given our form, and this is what we get served up? I hate to say "I told you so" about Holgate, but he really is poor, even at this level. A CB pair with him and Bednarek is a disaster waiting to happen. Add in the fact they have a keeper behind them who can't save a fucking thing that isn't straight at him, and we can kiss goodbye to a promotion push.

Just seen the replay of the 2nd and despite the deflection, Baz should still have saved that. It went through his hand, like so many shots do.
