  1. Again, you know NOTHING of my life from posts on a debate forum. So stop judging.
  2. You know nothing of my life. Everyone on this DEBATE forum is going to come across as boring opinionated ****s. You are the bad one for judging someone over a few posts on an internet forum.
  3. Oh, they will... such is the free market and it will continue to be unless and until there is state intervention we are basically ****ed. Because of capitalism, only when oil is no longer more profitable than renewable and so on will the proper investment come. Unfortunately, it'll be too late by then. That's the problem with capitalism... it's great until a decision like this comes up.
  4. It's not industrialise in the bad sense... it's more, land is gonna have to be given up for renewable plants... i.e wind, solar and tidal etc which will be 'eye sores'. I'm not talking nasty polluting coal factories.
  5. I know you are being sarcastic... but I need to make a point. If 9 billion of us want to live on our planet sustainably without destroying ourselves, we have to accept that some of the countryside is gonna have to be given over to natural resource.
  6. Electric... if they can find a way of quickly topping up a car via electricity(which they will).
  7. Sigh, I agree!, who gives a **** about ruining the view of the countryside in a few places. Most of the countryside views are human created anyway... not as if they are natural.
  8. J.K Rowling evidence was nothing short of shocking. Something has to change. Sent from my HTC Hero using Tapatalk
  9. We do need renewables though. Tidal is a pretty good idea for us, topped up by other renewables. Would create a lot of jobs and investment if we started at it now... Sent from my HTC Hero using Tapatalk
  10. A different perspective, yes. Middle class teenager, yes. Suburban dream, no. Sent from my HTC Hero using Tapatalk
  11. Fair enough. Here are the tables - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/UCAS_Tariff
  12. Multitasking my friend
  13. Brilliant.
  14. But still... most people have done **** all in the grand scheme of things and only experienced from one narrow perspective. EDIT: And I don't necessarily think age is always necessarily a prerequisite of being 'right'(whatever right means). Otherwise, why would older people form different opinions from each other(back to the experiencing from a narrow perspective perhaps?)? If your attitude is correct, we might as well just get every centurion going and put them in charge of the country now!
  15. But then again, what amount has anyone REALLY experienced? I think we have all only seen a narrow portion of what is. Most of what people think and say is based on hearsay and second hand reports.
  16. But then again, you always have a go at me for saying something of which you assume I have not experienced. Therefore, in future, no one should say anything. I think we are both hypocrites here.
  17. You got me.
  18. How many of the 591,000 people who arrived here last year do people think came here to 'scrounge off benefits'?
  19. Looking at the Guardian stats, what has led to this rise is less people leaving the UK.
  20. Yep, the trick is to deal with those who just don't want to work wherever they come from. From my own personal experience(que someone like Dune/Turkish/VFTT coming in saying I have none), the Immigrants I have met work just as hard and if not harder than us lot! It's a just a very small minority that need dealing with.
  21. Here are some more indepth stats - http://www.guardian.co.uk/news/datablog/2010/jun/26/non-eu-immigration-uk-statistics
  22. I'm sorry for not knowing your job.
  23. I do not have all the answers. I merely have my opinions as this is a debate forum so people should stop getting so het up when they happen to be different to theirs.
