  1. Well, neither of us know that unless we actually experienced it.
  2. Good, and those people will know that getting 3 A's at A level isn't a walk in the park.
  3. I have not. I can only speak for those who reside in my area. As can you for those that live near you. What we need are statistics. Anecdotal evidence doesn't really show much.
  4. How many are like this? I want statistics.
  5. I work with Romanians and they are very polite and hard working, amiable people.
  6. I have to admit when I found out this the other day, I was shocked AS levels count towards points as well! However, AS levels aren't a cop out, though obviously they aren't as hard as A2 levels. I'd like to see you do my 15,000 word chemistry coursework! A levels aren't easy. And if AS levels are included, how would that improve a college's stats compared to another college in the tables... as ALL colleges would use AS...
  7. What now? Have you met anyone like that? Every single immigrant I have met has a job(often a low paid one) and works bloody hard in it. They do respect this country and don't live off benefits!
  8. With the points system, doesn't AS levels count as well??? None of my unis do points so not entirely sure, but that's what I was told by someone the other day.
  9. Immigration is good. It brings in skills and workforce, money from spending and economic growth. If we stopped immigration tomorrow we'd soon see the negative consequences. It's all about a balance though...
  10. How many are students(they are the 'biggest group' apparently in the stats)? Because they come here, pay full fees and spend **** loads, then leave. Suffice to say, there isn't a lot we can do about a massive chunk of our immigration anyways because we are in the EU.
  11. Tell me another news provider in the UK which has less bias.
  12. The Telegraph presents reasoned right-wing views in a sensible manor, backed up in an intelligent way. The Express and the Mail just spout out complete ****.
  13. Fair enough, I never found it as right-wing as the Telegraph, but it's definitely more right-wing than me! But I don't touch it nowadays on principle. But I do like to read pieces that disagree with my opinion as well as agree. I think it is a good way to keep on top and strengthen your own views.
  14. Sky can be okay for some stuff, but awful at other stuff. I generally find the BBC to be the best and most consistent, non-bias news provider. I love the BBC, it is brilliant.
  15. I don't touch the Times as it is owned by News International. The Telegraph is where it is at for Right-Wing spin on news.
  16. I thought we got rid of it? Suffice to say, don't remember hearing it recently!!!
  17. Yep, I love BBC news. I can always trust it to be impartial and present the facts.
  18. I think Guardian will be alright in the end though. They are growing their online presence substantially. Their website is very popular.
  19. Even an 18 year old such as I can see that the Daily Mail is ridiculous. So, if 18 year olds are so dimwitted... when should people be allowed to vote?
  20. The Daily Mail does not tell it like it is. It tries to create mass panic, and extrapolates small non-points into major stories. Most of what it says are just white lies.
  21. I read a lot of my news online(telegraph, independent, Guardian, Daily Mail etc + BBC) in an as wide spectrum as possible(not just newspaper websites either)... but in physical form(if I do these days...) Guardian or Daily Mail as that is what is in the house. If I buy a newspaper myself, I get i.
  22. I can't even remember. All the games have just melded into one sublime event. With a few exceptions like Peterborough, which was not so good.
  23. I get £50 spent on me for Chrimbo from ma rents.
  24. I doubt the people who were arrest were just singing the chants that many sung. I bet they went much much further than that.
  25. That's because the third way doesn't care about people getting stinking rich... as long as it benefits the poorest by raising their standard of living as well(which broadly, it did). It's pretty left wing of you to moan about this, Dune. For what it is worth, let them earn that much, just tax them more and make damn well sure they pay that tax. As someone said above, this is what happens when the free market runs rampant.
