My Dad and I have renewed today. COYR.

Of course no-one knew anything about it whatsoever. It's all bull**** and if you ask me Murdoch's empire has an air of arrogance right now which really needs to be hit on the head. I hope whoever is responsible for this goes down.

Indeed, I am only 30 minutes in, but thus far I would not say it has been promoting either side, just presenting the facts. Edit: And it pretty much debunks it all.

Which generation had it hardest? Part 1 Baby boomers

I guess then it depends on what you define as easy. I think there is a lot more pressure on children of today. Although, I guess it could be argued either way for this argument. -

Baby boomer's definitely had it the easiest. Look at their pensions and so on... and then look at the catastrophes waiting for us 'modern kids' down the line. -
No point, the standard of tennis is bad enough in the first few rounds without making them play 2 extra sets! The men are just fitter.

I wouldn't be so sure. A lot of the republican candidates fail to appeal to the mainstream, and the favourite Mitt Romney will have serious issues if chosen as he will be powerless to criticise Obama where it will hurt, health policy due to his actions on health policies as governor of Massachusetts.

The EU promotes freedom as far as I can see. Economically we will have to integrate further unless we want to fall behind China and the USA even more than we are at present.(and defence wise as well!)

Thank God someone knows the difference between the two. If there is one thing that especially annoys me about the Daily Mail and its parody the Daily Express, is when they present ECHR judgements as if they are made by the ECJ(i.e the EU). It promotes misunderstanding.

I believe that when the time calls and the conditions are right and necessary, Europe will form a federation similar to the USA(so each state would still have a large degree of autonomy); with or without the UK and we'd be silly not to join. It is the only way we will be able to deal with the huge problems which will face us in the next century. We are stronger together than apart.

We'll see. Events will take their course. I may be wrong.

I'm aware of this. So who stopped us joining the euro? Gordon Brown. Personally, I believe one day we will join the euro.
-
It was Gordon Brown who stopped us joining the Euro. Tony Blair was right up for it. Just saying.

Oh I think there does need to be cuts. But I think our economy is strong enough to do it a bit slower. Look at the US where they are operating 1 year behind us and in the US they have regained all their lost GDP. I also think a lot of our debt is perhaps not as serious as first thought. We have billions upon billions in these bank shares and when we sell them we'll be able to pay off a huge chunk of debt thus reducing interest payments and debt. The deficit only really came about since the economic crisis. It was largely a product of an ideological decision to spend during the recession. I think Gordon Brown was right in what he did, if the banks had not been privatised and the country not bailed out then we would have been ****ed. And I think there is the difference between us and the PIGS, we can afford to bail ourselves out, their economies are not large enough to do so. But obviously, now the recession is over we need to look at curtailing spending to a degree. But it needs to be done sensibly, what we don't want to happen is to is break it when it is in the midst of a fragile economy because then tax receipts will collapse and then we really will be ****ed.
-
Our economy is roughly twice the size of Spain's. We are nowhere near needing an international bail out like the 'pigs'(Portugal Ireland Greece Spain).
-
I have to say I hate it when Cameron and co compare our situation to Greece. Our economy is several times bigger and much more stable.
-
*Nick Clegg... I believe is who we should be thanking if this comes to fruition. And Gordon Brown I guess for Nationalising the banks in the first place and stopping the economic collapse. I always said that the debt is over exaggerated mainly due to our bailing of the banks. Once we get our money back we'll be alright.
-
That's a shame. Great match though!

Wow, just when you think Venus is going to break through Date-Krum breaks back!

But to compare men's tennis to women's tennis is unfair.

Best game of women's tennis I've ever seen thus far.

But look at worldwide climate trends. As in worldwide average temperature and the story is very different... Ironically, global warming for britain could lead to cooler weather due to the breaking of the gulf stream, but worldwide this is not repeated. Don't confuse weather with climate.

Oh yes, the Earth will survive us. It will recover from our damage eventually, but only once it's kicked us off here. We are quite insignificant to the Earth and if continue to damage it as we do it will not hesitate in finishing us off.
-
Arctic Ice has been reaching record lows every summer. Earth will help those that help it. If we mistreat earth then Earth will rid itself of us. On the earth being flat, how can you compare that to the discussion we are currently having?! The world being round, and the greenhouse effect are based upon hard solid evidence. The world being flat was based upon nothing but religious based dogma and many scientists paid with their lives in disagreeing with it. As for the personal attack, I feel I need to tell you again that you know nothing of my life from some posts I make on an internet forum so please do not make broad assumptions.

You really are clutching at straws here.
