I really don't understand this love fest with Brendan Rodgers. You say it yourself....any muppet could win the Scottish league with Celtic...it's a **** poor league. I totally despise Rodgers and his past remarks after raiding our club of talent (tapping them up) makes him a definite NO!
-
I will enjoy today's performance and victory and the return of exciting attacking football and worry tomorrow if we have really turned a corner. Without wanting to put a downer on things, that was one of the worst visiting Premiership sides i have seen for a very long time and anything other than a comfortable win would have been criminal.
-
I watched him towards the end of his time with Celtic and he is exactly the same player now as he was then when he knew his future was elsewhere. He really just went through the motions towards the end of his time with Celtic and he's doing exactly the same now. I hate feeling so negative about a Saints player but i have to say there are 3/4 players in the current squad that i wish was just **** off!

Although Everton are woeful at present it just seem we are even worse and i just can not see a win for us. You need to score goals to win games and you have to be able to keep clean sheets....neither of which we are capable of at the moment. 0-2 Everton and Pellegrino out the door by middle of next week.
-
going by the poll results for the managers head to roll i would have thought 90% of this board would be in favour of this idea and making your voices heard. Personally i think doing what Guan suggests is better than doing bugger all and sitting there with your thumbs up your arse. If MP does not go and go quick we are relegation fodder!

Gao 'open to offers for Gabbiadini, Long and Austin'
BARCELONASAINT replied to DuncanRG's topic in The Saints
I cannot believe for one moment our new owners have come out and said we are looking to sell anyone....at best someone in the family has been heard to say in conversation that we are not scoring goals and something has to change....suddenly sensational paper headlines all the strikers are up for sale....complete b*l***ks! -
Personally i think he will still be around for the home game against Everton and then sacked mid week after that game when we lose to them. It has been the most horrible last 11 months of football with the most inept managerial appointments. It really does beggar belief that this guy is still in charge when it is so clear the players are not playing for him. For gods sake put us all out of our misery and get rid NOW!!
-
I'm really sorry to say it but at the moment i think we will go down. I honestly don't think many of our better players care...VVD wants to leave, Bertrand wants to leave, Tadic is disinterested, Redmond looks like he couldn't care less, Austin looks ****ed off. They would all be gone if we go down, so maybe it would suit them and even guarantee them a move to another Premiership club. Add to the list the players we couldn't keep hold off even if they were happy to stay and most of our starting 11 would be gone. Swansea and Palace to join us or maybe WBA
-
If we even consider Fat Sam, Bent Rednapp and a couple of others people have mentioned i'm done. We have made two awful consecutive appointments, lets not make a third by hiring a dinosaur. I didn't even know who we were playing yesterday i have been that disinterested because of the absolute crap football we have dished up since January. I just don't understand how our board have been conned by this guy who told them attractive attacking football is what he would bring to us. Did anyone from our board actually watch La Liga last season? His team were never exciting, they ground out results by playing "safe" football and had a season that bucked the trend. I was very underwhelmed when we appointed him and my fears have shown to be reality. I don't advocate sacking managers but this guy really has to go and go NOW!
-
This only backs up my falling out of love with the game at this level and hardly showing an interest this season. Too many young footballers now are only interested in the massive pay day and not interested in actually playing football....if that is what they want good luck to them but it is killing the game.

I fully expect Boufal to be on the bench against Brighton....I would not agree with this decision because having grown up with the privilege of watching MLT every week i believe we potentially have another genius on our hands if the manager has the balls to play him. MLT was a luxury player that some weeks you found so frustrating because nothing he tried came off and he was not the hardest working of players but when it clicked oh my god the lad was a genius. Alan Ball had it right when he managed us and you could here him shouting "give it to Matt, give it to Matt" He knew the lad could in a flash turn a game on it's head. In Boufal i think we have another luxury type player who has the ability to turn games on there head and will occasionally frustrate. The manager needs to grow a pair and give him a run.

PMSL......and there is a god!!

I'm currently on holiday in Peru and my son messaged me saying VVD has said he hopes to leave in January. To be honest i have really lost all interest in Saints since the summer. I'm just really disgusted with the state of the modern game, the agents, the players and some of the foreign managers that have come to our league. I really hope VVD goes as quick as possible and we get as much money as we can to spend where we desperately need to. I am genuinely worried for us this season.

You have more of a chance of hell freezing over!!

it's a strange feeling that come a Friday afternoon i couldn't give a rats arse about tomorrows game! I'm not sure what it is...possibly the summer fiasco with that tit VVD, possibly the extortionate amount of money being paid for bang average players or possibly the crap football that has been served up for what seems a ages. I will go and play my morning game, come home, shower and then off to play my afternoon game and probably not give Saints a seconds thought.
-
absolute ridiculous decision....anyone that watched Palace yesterday will have seen them dominate the game and only the Saints bug stopped them from winning (couldn't put the ball in the old onion bag). Football really has gone mad.....on this basis i expect MP to be sacked tomorrow based on the **** being served up at present!!
-
I've supported SFC all my life and consider myself a mature male that is not prone to ridiculous outbursts when we lose a game. However unlike any player that has gone before him i personally believe VVD has behaved disgustingly and with contempt towards the club and fans that have paid for him to live such a privileged lifestyle. Hand on heart i never want to see him in a Saints shirt again but know that he will be integrated back into the side and of course for the good of the team this must happen. I will never cheer him again such is my disgust for this man/child.....however i will not boo him as that is clearly counter productive. I don't know why i feel so strongly about this and more so than any other player that agitated for a move but i just cannot stand anything about VVD.
-
I don't care how many good performances the snake puts in between now and the eventual move he gets...I will never cheer his name. I will also never boo him because if I am unfortunate enough to see the slime ball wearing our kit again I couldn't bring myself to boo someone wearing the Saints shirt. I cannot put into words how much I despise everything about VVD and the way he has treated the club and fans that allow him the elite lifestyle he has.

Well the window turned out to be what most of us wanted bar 1 or 2 incomings. I said to a work colleague at the end of the last season that in my view the board would hold strong and not sell VVD unless it was for a stupid amount. They have stood their ground despite huge pressure from VVD, his representatives, LFC and every victim to do with that low life club and the media who were determined that they would sell VVD for us!...For keeping to your word I applaud our board for the message it sends out to not only players...but other clubs! Personally I never want to see VVD wearing the shirt again after his appalling behaviour towards the fans and club that gave him a nice pay increase, a longer contract and the bloody Captains arm band!...I will never applaud or cheer his name when he appears (and i'm sure he will) and I will not boo him....I will be realistic and accept we will re-integrate him into the first team squad but I don't have to like it. The new signings on the face of it look good....I like what I have seen of Lemina already and think he could be a very shrewd signing. Like everyone else my massive concern is where are the goals coming from....because at the moment I do not see much difference from the side of last year and that is worrying. 8/10 for not buckling Saints!
-
please please just sell this horrible excuse for a human being to anyone but Liverpool and get him out of our club. I never want to see him wear our shirt again. Everything about this man is wrong and there is no doubt it is affecting the rest of the players.....just get rid.
-
I have absolutely no idea why at this stage of his career he would be happy to sit on the bench anywhere let alone move to Spurs only to be third choice. Goalkeepers need to be playing competitive games even more so than outfield players. At least with outfield players if they are named as subs they stand a chance of getting minutes.....the sub keepers 99% of the time never get to play. I just don't get players that are happy to waste their career never playing and settle for being a squad player!

The constant bashing of Forster really irritates me. He certainly IS good enough for us and was not at fault for either goal on Saturday. The first was entirely our defence fault. He saw it late and still made a smart save, unfortunately it fell to a goal poacher. The second was a fantastic reaction save onto the bar and again so unlucky the poacher was there again. I wonder how many of you the criticise Forster have ever been goalkeepers? I can tell you from experience and still playing in that position at 52 that it is the most loneliest position on the pitch. One mistake and you have cost your team a goal and possibly the match. All the outfield players can make mistake after mistake and still have 10 of their team mates to clear up...not so for the poor goalkeeper. If Forster is anything like me he probably beats himself up about every goal he concedes thinking he could have done better. It is a massive confidence position....just take Joe Hart for a moment....he's certainly not lacking in ability but you can see his confidence is shot. Forster is OUR keeper. Encourage him and cheer him.....save your criticism for someone that has no loyalty!!!

Jesus people relax. Do you honestly think Kat has just sold our club down the river and burdened it with a new owner that now has a huge debt to service. Have people learnt nothing over the last year??? We knew very little about this takeover and when it did finally happen it certainly was not in the form that any of us was expecting. Kat has retained 20% in the club because she wants to remain part of what her father started and part of what she took us to.....if it was about her just wanting out and as much money as she could possibly make she would already be sailing off into the sunset. However don't let any of that stop you all jumping on the bandwagon and automatically condemning our new owner because of a NEWSPAPER story!
-
I don't care how talented he is, i don't want the weasel anywhere near our club. He has completely disrespected the club and the fans. I will not boo him if he ever plays for us again BUT i will not cheer him. Everything he does from here on in will be about what's best for him and what it will take to get his move out of here....be that before the window closes (personally don't think that will happen) or in the summer. He can f*** right off as far as i am concerned!
