Good put Sheff on accumulator. I like DMG, he did really well for us and there was absolute no tolerance for a player of his age that was afforded to other players. He a good scronig record for us and hopefully will re-find it. League 1 may be his level but its no reason to begrudge the bloke.

Went a few years ago, its not that bad, same as any city some areas nice some areas ****. Cathedral worth a visit and dito with San Siro. Went to a nice park couldn't tell you the name of it. It might have been in some castle walls. No particular places to eat, we just went wherever was convinient and looked acceptable. Trains pretty easy. And when its hot, your treated to fans in the underground which spray water to help keep cool.

Concerned at the time but obviously its easy to say now it was the right decision. As a manager he was doing a very good job but as a person I couldn't stand him hand some of the stuff you hear about him. Just thought he was arrongant as well. Was very happy with Adkins appointment at the time and nothing has changed that in the slightest fantastic work from the guy, long may it continue.

Whilst I agree to an extent, spending £5m on an asset that has potential to increase in value is still risky at our level. There is never a gurantee of a higher resale if the player doesn;t perform to the expected levels. Spending less on a player with a more proven record seems to make more sense to me at least. The focus surely should be on a goalscorer not a player to sell for more?

I just can't believe we are considering spending £5M on a Championship player, it just seems crazy to me, even if the market is massively inflated. Sunderland bought Wes Brown for around £1m, although the circumstances are differerent it proves that you can get some bloody good bargains. Ebank-Blake (if he wanted to come) would be a much better purchase IMHO. Just because we have the money doesn;t mean we need to blow it all. Anyway I would rather keep what we have for now as perfectly happy, lets see how far they can get us by January. They deserve the opportunity to prove themselves in the NPC and have earnt the right.

Really couldn't care less. A very talented playe no doubt and will have no trouble in the prem, but if he really doesn't want to be here and the money is good then there is no good reason not to except it. Adkins continously talks about a positive atmosphere, team spirit and togetherness etc, and we should not allow one quality player within the squad to jepordise that. Slightly irritated by his behaviour but he is young and perhaps ill-advised, and Arsneal is an attractive option.

Adkins has answered every question asked of him, the main one, bringing a positive atmosphere for the training camp and getting us promoted BOTH HE AND PARDEW HAVE STATED THAT SIGNINGS MADE IN LEAGUE 1 ARE ALSO FOR THE CHAMPIONSHIP, so don't expect huge purchases because we spent big in League 1 and made financial losses. We will add in small numbers, we only need a big name to keep the naieve and unrealistic happy. Progression should always be made, and that will happen no doubt with a few additions here and there. Patience.

i think people are forgetting that its not just buying a player, for instance/example Doncaster may let us have Sharp but they will need to get a replacement too, which will take time in itself.

Whilst this point is a valid one, the general £ spent on transfers and wages has increased the difference between £6m now and then is fairly large.

Hmm, yes the squad needs investment but lets not be reckless and overspend. Leicester's money spent gives them a better chance but not gurantee, it could go horribly wrong as we have witnessed so many times before. They are an established NPC side, we are not. Our squad is not good enough to compete at the top. Lets be realistic, there are some strong teams in the this league. Mid-table is fine, a few additions and maybe top-half. But lets not get carried away. Lets not forget, a frequent message from Pardew and Adkins was that players signed in League 1 were to help us compete in the NPC as well, and lets also remeber we spent very heavily in League 1, spending will have to be restrained at some point. Its still not even July, activity will happen just be patient.

Idea, Mike selects five designs, puts it to vote let majority decide and be done with it. Not everyone can be happy and the money was not to have a final say on a design but contribute to the ideas surrounding a design and hopefully a voting process should keep the majoriy happy. As long as it is a fitting tribute and not a disaster like th original Ted Bates statue and we have something for the start of the season then great.

Whilst the later release date is frustrating, it might be (if the dates match, haven't checked) that the club are trying to increase tickets sales for mem. cup by suggesting one of first chances to get/see the new kit at this game. If so not a bad idea.
