This too. I lived in Oxford for 23 years and saw them many times. I now live by London Bridge, Millwall are the nearest club as the crow flies and been to see them a couple of times. Always have a soft spot for Huddersfield after 2010–11 Football League One season where for much of the season they match us result after result in chase for second place. I still watch the results of these clubs. But, their will only ever be Saints etch deep inside, no matter how bad things get.

Just watching the goals for 1st time. Despite the mistakes the other thing that stands out is composure in front of goal. We don't have it. Do you think if we had same chances we would have scored those 3 goals? No!!

Agree. Can only think Still didn't want to put an 18 years in that environment. But, Jay having been with Saint since a youth would probably be much more up for the game than newbies. Agree would have liked to see him at least come off the bench much earlier.

I don't think today was ever going to be a classic, but that 1st 45 minutes produced was as bad as a performance of any of the last 6 managers. But, so many new additions so late in the transfer window is costing us points, presuming Still will get them to blend well. A run of difficult games coming up to get them playing. Need to pick up max points, Liverpool game is nothing to lose, so might as well get the practice in and go for it. Home atmosphere pretty good most of the time. I have been at every derby since Moran's winner at Fractured Park, 1984 and I think that skates were as quiet as I've ever heard them. It seemed too easy to nullify 'play up pompey'.

I was in the Fratton End at that game. I was with a mate for uni and is Navy officer dad. Was wetting myself and all I could do was just look at them and....smile n wink. In their local that night full of upset skates. I went on to beat all their pub darts team to an extent where they refused to play me anymore....great two memories.
