The next week and a half will probably determine our intentions for this season. If the rumours about the wage offered to Cork and the fee for Sharp are true then we have nothing to worry about.
To be fair I think he looked a little uncomfortable at right back today and his preferred position is central midfield.
His passing is good and he has a bit of pace which Hammond certainly doesn't have so I have to disagree.
You answer your own point when you say 'today's showing.' That team went on an incredible run to get into the playoffs winning 8 consecutive games at one stage so they obviously aren't a terrible team. Are Huddersfield also a bad team because they lost in the final after 28 games unbeaten!? The playoffs are a lottery.
This is a bit of an ignorant post to be honest. Firstly Sharp was never given a consistent run in the team at Sheffield United which always makes it difficult for a striker to score goals i'm sure you can understand.
In 2007, when he was at S****horpe banging in the goals, have you asked yourself who was manager then in arguably the richest vein of form in his career...?
Lastly you mention a poor goalscoring record but despite being out injured for much of this campaign he has scored 15 goals in 28 games in a team which just escaped relegation so maybe those are a few reasons why he's getting a mention.
Ipswich have had a bid of £2.6 million turned down for Billy Sharp and James Coppinger from Donny, may well be two of our realistic targets this summer...

New story up now with quotes from Fry saying we've asked about Craig

Done well for Hereford, young and strong but again I'm not sure he's what needed for The Championship and beyond...
Well I see your point but it's not really a fair comparison seeing as Vine is playing in a higher division, but not regularly and every game like Rickie
