A Leicester or West Ham signing if ever I saw one.
-
Not sure Rickie and Santa Cruz would work up front. He definitely isn't the type of striker we're after.
-
Just looked him up and you're right; he's 6ft 1! I hadn't realised he was that tall and I was also impressed with that header against Palace that was shown on the FL Show, which was also a great save by Speroni. I'd love to sign both but after finding out about his height I guess Rodriguez looks the best bet.
-
I think he scored 6 or 7 goals last season which isn't bad considering Doyle played upfront alone the majority of the time, leaving Ebanks-Blake on the bench. Of course later in the season they had Steven Fletcher which harmed his chances even more. Does anyone actually know if he is keen/being allowed to leave? Also is Rodriguez a strong player and good in the air or more of a pacy one? It'd be good if we get someone with both attributes...

I'm really starting to warm to the idea of Ebanks-Blake coming. At a supposedly lower price than Rodriguez, he provides power, pace and a great goalscoring record at this level. However as others have mentioned, can he perform consistently at Premier League level?

£4m swoop for Burnley duo Rodriguez and Fox?

Will they still be laughing when they spend most of the season in and around the bottom 8 or so teams? -
Keogh is set to join Leeds on loan. Good signing for them. And Fryatt is clearly a quality player. If you take notice of the Championship on a regular basis you will see a lot of his finishes which are usually excellent.
-
And coming from an Italian club we may well be in contention should he leave. Anyone know if he's pacy?
-
Brilliant result, great steel shown by the team after a moment of stupidity and we've finally beaten a Keith Hill managed side! Interestingly there wasn't a single draw in the Championship today and what a superb day with Pompey, Leeds, Leicester and Forest all losing!

No Gorkss in the squad for QPR today...

Seaborne To Cherries on Loan for Season? (Rumour)

He's going to be 13. -
Adkins also mentions that we would look to sign 'two, three, four players that could improve the team.' The number seems to be increasing every week!
-
Fourth_Official Fourth Official QPR have signed Brazilian defender Bruno Perone #QPR Could this push the Gorkss deal through...?
-
I would suggest after targeting Billy Sharp, Nicky Maynard and Jay Rodriguez during the summer that Ebanks-Blake is exactly what we're looking for. If fit, Lambert is going to start most matches and Guly can fill in for him if not, but what we're really missing upfront is that extra bit of pace, especially now Chamberlain has left, so someone with those qualities is what Adkins will be looking for.

Jay Rodriguez hits his fourth of the night for Burnley. I wonder if we have a scout up there tonight...?
-
Hat-trick for Rodriguez!

Rodriguez scores another penalty. Six Championship sides trailing at the moment...

Rodriguez scores a penalty for Burnley.
-
Elsewhere tonight, Boyd starts for Peterborough, Rodriguez and Fox both start for Burnley and Waghorn starts for Leicester. Henry on the bench for Millwall and no Ings in the Bournemouth squad...
-
This was in the Daily Mail this morning. I doubt very much that it's true.
-
I think I may have misunderstood what you meant, but still fourth_official tweeted just afterwards something similar that suggested that we are on the verge of making some big bids... Fourth_Official Fourth Official Leicester City are also concerned Southampton may rock the boat on a few of the deals they are lining up as they look to spend big #Saints
-
We can't help it if players decide to turn us down though, doesn't mean we haven't put significant bids in.
-
I wonder why he wasn't involved tonight then. Maybe he was here for talks today but has decided against the move?
