  1. Think they have said we face a fight to Keep hold of Adam cause they don't really know anything about the clubs finances much like us. I reckon they think we have to sell our top players to survive, purely because Adkins mentioned that our youth will play a part next season. Unlike 2009, the year of our relegation from the championship when it was because we had to use the youth and they weren't ready to step up as first team players. This time its because we want to play them, not because we are broke. This time it looks like the youth coming through could well be ready but they will have the luxury of not being rushed like before.
  2. Almost hits the linesman though
  3. Not sure if he attends all the games but think he attends all the home games.
  4. Tried to post this earlier just for a bit of fun really. We have all seen his best clips but how about one of his worst http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O194V1nvTCY If he does sign I hope Lambert keeps taking our penalties for the immediate future
  5. You know how sometimes YouTube compilations of players scoring goals and playing well in general can sometimes make a player look better than he actually is? Well this kind of puts me off bringing him in http://m.youtube.com/index?desktop_uri=%2F&gl=GB#/watch?v=vhhTrQLuts4 Link should be Jay Rodriguez AMAZING penalty miss Forest v Burnley. But doesn't seem to work at the moment as I've cut and paste the link from.my mobile. I'll edit it later.
  6. I expect he wants to play on for at least a couple more seasons. If he was retiring we could keep him on as a striking coach. His experience and footballing brain would be brilliant for our youth players. Even some of our first team players could learn a thing or two from him I reckon.
  7. I was thinking that too! If this is true it has been very bad timing to release Chaplows latest interview on the OS. I think chaplow could be a great player for us next season, if he can get back his form to before he was out injuried last December. I would like to see him have a chance in the premier league with us, to see what he can do. Can't we give them puncheon instead ?
  8. After a top 8 finish and FA cup win I really hope he is here for a really long time and that he can take us to the next level and beyond. We've been very fortunate to have him and it would be absolutely crazy to not at least give him his chance at the big time.
  9. I've heard Tommy Forecast is set for the number 1 shirt next season and that's why Super Kelvin wants to leave ... I'm kidding of course Hopefully its nothing more than a rumour or failing that a new swish pad for his family.
  10. Yeah this is a nice design. I was playing around with a similar design myself.
  11. I hope Sharp doesn't get an injury in this. Hopefully it will be played at a canter.
  12. ok, I didn't know that. I thought you could sign a player without a club anytime. Shows what I know then.
  13. I thought he would have signed for Swindon after helping them get promoted. Preston is a good move for him I guess but not sure he will stay injury free enough to really kick start his career. Hope I'm wrong for his sake though.
  14. Ah Thanks. Yes I'd heard July 1st mentioned before but wasn't sure if the personal who told me had been playing to much football manager too. If it is July first then we still have alot of rumours to get through until we actually sign someone. I hope whoever we end up signing proves to be worth the wait.
  15. I know we can sign free transfers anytime, but when does the Offical summer transfer window open?
  16. I've been hoping this will happen now too. In fact it would be good if Radio Solent just totally filtered out all Pompey talk all together, unless of course its to tell us about them being thrashed or going out of exsistance entirely
  17. A slow and painful death it is then
  18. When they do come out I predict a very tough start. First 3 fixtures might well be chelsea away, Then Man Utd at home followed by Man City away. What a start to the premier league that would be!
  19. As much as we want it to be true, it sounds more like a made up rumour. They've probably taken various post from this thread to come up with the story. If we were ever to off load puncheon, then Blackpool are probably one of two possible clubs who would take him. Millwall being the other club, after he had successful loan spells with each. Ince looks like he is going to be a very good player and I wouldn't mind seeing him in a Saints shirt one day. But I'll believe it when I see
  20. For some reason the rules don't apply to Portsmouth.
  21. Lol yes I'm sure it will do exactly that
  22. Good answer, thanks! Hopefully they are also setting in place a mind set of principle too. One that teaches the youth players to show some loyalty to the club that has spent the time and investment developing them. And not to leave as soon as a big club comes along, waving a golden carrot under their noses as they start to show their potential. For example Theo and Ox going maybe a little bit too early for there own benefit as well as ours.
  23. A injury free DC would be great for them but as you have said its unlikely he will be out the treatment room. Plus do they even have a treatment room now? Wasn't one of their players last season unable to get a scan due to lack of funds?
  24. Yes, totally this! As much as I hate playing Pompey, I really want to get one over on them. So I hope we do get them in the cup and totally destroy them, we definitely owe them one or two even! The Premier league team I really want us to beat is Arsenal because they have taken two of our best youth players in recent years and they are still looking to try and snatch away our latest prospects. It would be good to show Wenger, Theo and Ox the times are a changing! When Arsenal come to St Mary's there should be a sign up saying "Develop your own damm youth team!"
