  1. Never going to happen. Norwich don't even have a manager at the moment do they?
  2. So Itchen Dan's predominately red top with thin white stripes is pretty close to the final design then?
  3. No but he should have done. Both Green and James being a head of him was criminal. It raises a good point in itself, why has Green been given another chance after his mistake when Robinson and Carson never were given a second chance? They are both better keepers in my opinion. I know they retired internationally and said they would never play for Capello again but now he is gone either one of those would be better than Green
  4. Joe Hart was 3rd choice in the world cup, just saying
  5. True but he must have made a packet already with over 20 odd years in the game. Plus he must have been picking up big wages while playing for the skates these past few years. Sounds more like he is being greedy, but I'm not complaining
  6. Its very clear here, thanks. Its weird on the OS video I have posted at 1.51 it really does look like Hooiveld handles it.
  7. Nice free video from the OS. I was interested to see at 1.51 Jos Hooiveld clearly is the player that handballs the cross for our 2 penalty in the 3-2 win at Millwall this season. I can't find a clear version of TV highlights for that game but I remember thinking it was the Millwall Player who handled it from the Football League highlights. I can only find this low res video recorded off the tv onto someones camera phone by the looks of things. Can anyone one find decent link to the TV highlights for that game?
  8. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/18314109 Not really his biggest fan but I wonder where he will end up?
  9. I know football has changed but you can't imagine our pompey born FA cup hero Bobby doing this can you? Even if he was a player in todays modern game.
  10. Some nice designs. Connolly shirt is now half price, and final stock for obvious reasons. I quite like that design, shame he is off. I'm not sure they will get many takers for that one now.
  11. Good point but ultimately money will talk. I expect his agent will probably steer him in the wrong direction, just for the extra notes he will pick up.
  12. I wonder if the players ever get consulted as well? Surely they have to feel comfortable wearing it. I am thinning about that awful Everton pink away kit here
  13. Yes there is no right or wrong way to design a Saints kit. Its just what some people, like myself get use to a certain look. As you have pointed out Southampton Kits aren't always traditional stripes. I don't mind that either. I myself had the 1985-87 kit. It was my first Southampton Kit and that does feel right to me. Probably a little bit down to nostalgia. Its just the pinstriped idea that I'm not so keen on. That with a predominately red top is what makes me think forest not saints. But I am sure it will grow on me. Most saints kits I haven't like at first site normally do. By the way that Hummel kit looks truly a product of its time, 80'es loud
  14. Who actually makes the decision what Kit design is chosen? I would guess Umbro design a selection of ideas and then is it Cortese who decides?
  15. Nothing wrong with the design itself but it doesn't really say Saints to me. It looks more like a Nottingham Forest top. But if that's what the latest info is and happens to end up what the club have gone for, then I guess it will do and I'll get used to it.
  16. I feel a bit sorry for Norwich too. If Adkins were to walk in the same manner I'd be very disappointed. I guess we know from both Lambert and Adkins past dealings they go about leaving in different ways, but they both are very ambitious though. So if we have a good first season in the premier league we could be in this position this time next year. The only good thing from our point of view is Norwich will be a weaker team this year.
  17. It wasn't as good as I'd of hoped. I wouldn't go as far as saying 1/5 though. Probably 3/5 is about right. http://www.sfx.co.uk/2012/06/01/prometheus-review/
  18. 52 scouts were in attendance to watch the Robins' match at Burton Albion! Blimey thats a lot of scouts for one player. I don't think we will get him. I mean if he has the choice of Man Utd, Chelsea, Arsenal, Spurs etc... Obviously we don't now who is interested but I would expect all the big clubs to be there sniffing around. He would be a quality signing if we could sign him up though.
  19. For that price you'd have to hope the answer was Yes
  20. Yes we did, and he looked very good for us back then. Shame we couldn't keep him, but we were heading in the wrong direction back then.
  21. That was probably the one of the best things he has done since joining us. It was a true piece of Brazilian magic at a crucial moment and in a crucial game. His worse contribution being unable to challenge Ward in the pompey match at Fratton Park when we should have won but because of his failure to jump we ended up drawing.
  22. Definitely get Guthrie back. As a free transfer he would be a bargain!
  23. Off to see Prometheus tonight, hopefully its a good film. I've been looking forward to seeing it for ages. The early reviews have been disappointing though. Average scores for it seem to be around 3/5.
