So you are happy with this Nick? What happens if we get promoted next season ,then they double the ST price and say they want the payment in full between the 1st -2nd June?Silly example i know, but you get my drift. Are you willing to swallow anything the club demands,no matter how expensive or inconvienient, just so NC can continue to run the club his way? -

So are you saying then that the fans charter that was written by the club, wasnt worth the paper it was written on?Didnt the club say it would consult with the fans? So as paying "customers",we just have to accept any lies,bulls1te or bad pr that the club want to throw our way? -
Yes mate i have. I go a nice sexy golden brown when in the sun.

So you are saying any player with ginger hair is no good? Ive never heard such a load of waffle in my life. And yes i an a ginger as well.

If it wasnt a good idea, then why is it theres only a couple of clubs in this league that dont offer installments? Perhaps all the other clubs have realised its a good and RISK FREE way to get more fans to be ST holders? -
Any advert promoting banks. We buy any car . com "You buy one,you get one free",double glazing windows. Any advert with Michael Winner. I hate all of these adverts, but the fact that we all remember them, proves they work,

Look we can both argue our different points of view, until the cows come home, but at the end of the day it boils down to the club treating fans with contempt. Personally my wife and i will find the money and get a ST.But there were people in our group who were relying on the installment plan who wont now go.These new fans would have gone to every home game because they have already paid for it,including all those mid-week games that are usually poorly attended. Now they will cherry pick their games,so the club losses out on money from programmes, beer, food etc. Like i said previously,i like ML and NC,but i think a lot of fans now feel alienated by the club through no fault of their own. -

Throughout our lifes there will be times when you will have a lot of expendable income, living with parents,no mortgage, good job etc. Then there will be times when you find money is short, getting married, having kids, new house etc. Sometimes people even get refused credit because at their address previously, someone there had bad credit, which has nothing what so ever to do with them.Thats life. My point(eventually),is that our fan base is made up of many different people at different stages of their lifes. Why should anyone be denied the pleasure of watching Saints, when up to now its been readily available? After all isnt a full stadium what everyone wants? -

You have proved my point about arrogance exactly. So far im still happy with NC and ML,but they have to remember, whatever their plans for the club, its the fans that matter above most things. Upset fans, then attendences will plummet. -

Well done Stu for actually taking the time and effort to show how easy it is for the club to do installments.NC says the reason there will be no more payment plans is due to administration costs, well Stu has blown that excuse right out of the water. So obviously there must be another reason, than the waffle us fans were fed. Also please can people on here realise that NOT EVERYONE can get a credit card, whatever the interest.I cant believe how some posters on here have such an arrogant attitude to other fans who are finding getting the funds for their ST by the end of the month difficult. Like ive said before, some of my mates who have been going for years with no problems, cant afford to raise the cash by June 30th,so wont be going as much anymore. For me this whole mess has totally ruined the feelgood factor in our 125th year. -
Thanks for not aiming you opinion at me saintoli. My point is simply a lot of people cant afford to get a ST without installments. Im not complaining about the price or what ever plans NC has for Saints. In fact up till now i have been very happy. What effect this will have on attendances, who knows? Its just that today i know a lot of grumpy Saints fans,(must be the circles i move in)!

I wish i could sus out how to do this clappy thing! -
Actually ive had two mates who have been ST holders since the Dell, phone me and say that they cant afford to find that sort of money in one go.One of them was going to get one for his partner as well, but now none of them will get a ST. Thats another three not regularly going to St Marys, not buying programmes, not buying beer, not supporting the team and adding to the atmosphere etc. Still great idea to cancel the installments hey?

But that was because it was the clubs first day out at Wembley for years. I cant see the same enthusiasm for Exeter on a Tuesday night in November. -
I thought it was in the clubs interest to get as many supporters watching Saints as possible? This is a PR nightmare. Not only have they annoyed a lot of fans by lack of communication, they have also left it until the first of June to tell fans they need to raise a lot of money by the end of the month,or lose their STs especially when a lot of people are now taking their hols.

I think all the points i wanted to say have been mentioned already ,especially by St Jason who i totally agree with. Without going into details, this year has been a very expensive one for my family,so i was going to go down the installement route, because it spreads out the payments and doesnt leave me short for the next few months. Also i found that when i have a ST,i dont miss all those mid-week games, despite it being a pain trying to get time off work etc.If i pay as you go,then i just wont bother about those games, thus saving me time and money the club would have had. Now i either go without a ST for the first time in years,or i stump up the cash for 3 tickets by the end of the month. Guess thats 3 STs the club will lose out on then!!

I have liked him ever since i saw him in "Rebel without a cause",with James Dean.My only criticism is that he was typecast as a badie in most of his films. Still a sad loss.

Saints every time. I would like England to win the World cup obviously, but to be fair,it doesnt mean that much to me that a bunch of overpaid, over rated players might win a trophy.I know its childish, but i cant stand the fact that by supporting England im expected to cheer on a lot of ex Skate players as well. Where as if Saints win anything, its my team,my town and because ive been a Saints fan throughout all the bad times,i want to enjoy the glory and the feelgood factor. So come on Saints for next season. -
Same here Dog.Sorry to hear about your Bulldog. We had our dog put down a month ago and it was one of the worst things i have ever done.Try to remember the good times with her. We had our dog cremated and put into a wooden casket. She now has pride of place in our display cabinet. On a lighter note, she doesnt need so many walks now.

Stu makes a valid point. A lot of my friends get their ST paid by instalments as soon as they are put on sale, thus its all paid up by Christmas.By leaving it so late, they will still be paying it off at an expensive time of year. I also think that Cortese is doing himself no favours by not at least telling us fans when to expect them to go on sale.

Or even better why not go to the Tolpuddle Martyrs annual festival on the 16-18th July.I go every year, usually for the bands and lots of beer.
