Anythings possible i suppose.Until its mathematically impossible we still have a chance and as long as we dont have key players getting injured.But personally i think we have left it too late.

Before the game i would have settled for a draw. But how refreshing it was to hear on the radio how well the team were playing and most importantly,how the team continued to play up to the 90 minutes and beyond. Well done today Saints,lets hope our good form continues.

I was stood on the wall outside the Alfred when that fat Skate and his mate came over and tried to wind up us Saints fans.He definately wanted a reaction and given the volitile atmosphere and with feelings running high,it was at best a very stupid thing to do.He then tried to scurry back behind the police,but must have realised he had taken on too many fans.If he had not wanted trouble,then he should have stayed behind the police. Now im quite an easy going guy,but this Skate was asking for it.

Some good ideas so far. I would like to see all transfers go through the PL,thus cutting out football agents and the money paid to them. Also all clubs can only spend a certain amount each season,so making it a bit fairer. Then i would make all contracts binding,so if a player signs for two years,he cannot leave until the two years are up.

I havent been to Pompey for about three years.Always try to avoid the place.Hate going there and certainly dont want to put any money into that city. Also always have a burning desire to shout abuse to anyone wearing a Skate top.

Well pfc123,Pompey managed to beat a 3rd Division side using Premiership players you cant afford,or havent paid for. Must make you feel very proud. What with Storrie making up nonsence about being attacked by Saints fans and you blue few thinking you are the bestest fans ever(Saints fans totally outsung the Skate fans),you must all be getting dizzy with all the spin spewing out of your soon to be wound up club!

Sounds a bit steep for the bingo bus from the stadium? We have booked a sixteen seater minibus and along with the price of our seats,we also have to pay for parking at Wembley as well.This still only comes to about the same price,yet theres 52 seats on the coach?

Believe me it was sung many times where i was in block one. Also there was a lot of "You Skate basta--ds"..."Premiership your havin a laff"...."W******d is a wan-er" and a few more. Hopefully some of these were heard on tv.

Apparently theres a law where if you see a Skate,you have to shout "You Skate bast--d", at the top of your voice.As i am an upright citizen,i always try to comply!

Ha ha ha,love it. Both my shins look and feel like they have had a good kicking and both my arms ache from giving gestures to the away fans.Had a laugh yesterday as well,because when we scored my wife(along with quite a few others),was pushed over and a copper then asks her "Are you alright dear",like she was an old woman.Quality!!!

Agree with the first post.The police were totally over the top with the way they handled the Skate fans and how aggressive they were towards Saints fans,just trying to get home.My mate was threatened with arrest for meerly wanting to walk over the Northam railway bridge,despite there already being loads of home fans walking over there anyway.My son was nearly pushed over by a demented poicewoman on a horse who seemed to take great delight provoking innocent fans waiting by a bus top. All of this couldve been avoided if they had kept the away fans back for an hour,until we had all had a chance to get home.Then at least if any Saints fans were still waiting outside,they would know they were probably troublemakers.

I work with the Saints fan who is with that **** W******d.Believe me he will get a lot of grief when i see him.

Not so sure. Of course because of the derby you get polarised opinions on both sides.But lets face it,it would be a sad day if either club went to the wall,because when both Saints and Pompey play each other,theres not another derby game that comes even close.

PES you would be surprised how friendly we can be.I know of a Pompey fan who attended a Saints game recently and although we all knew who he supported,he was made welcome(with a bit of banter of course)!But if one of us went to Fratton and was known to be a Saints fan,do you think we would be ok?

They only have 7 days to find the dosh or they will be gone.We could be the last game Pompey ever play!

It was announced that Saints have achieved the highest EVER attendance for the JPT trophy tonight.I think that says a lot about how passionate our support is. Tonight was one of the best displays of support i have seen for a very longtime. I felt very proud to be a Saints fan tonight.

Good for you docker-p. The one year we dont have to have sponsers on our shirt,it looks like we wont have red and white stripes. Thats a mistake in my view. As its been said before,Saints are known for our striped kit.

Glasgow Saint the skate game is on tv,thats one of the reasons its being played at 12.30. 70s Mike i think you have summed up exactly how im feeling.I cant wait for both games and i am keeping everything crossed ,hoping we will win them both.

So B Rabbit you liked the club badge we had when we won the FA Cup in 76?To me it looked like half of it was missing,but hey,its our history so we should bring it back.Saints used to play in shorts that looked like "bloomers",should we bring them back because its in our history? Like it or not,we are known for playing in red and white stripes.Why change a popular formula? If the club wants to bring out a special shirt,why not do a one off like the FA Cup one that was produced to celebrate 30 years? Also please dont patronise me about the clubs history and dont post in orange because it makes you look like a plonker!
