I think the defensive personnel has been a big problem for years and still hasn't been upgraded regardless of the system we have played, ESPECIALLY the CBs. Bear in mind one CB didn't want to be here and one we didn't want. It hardly screams "brick wall" does it. And why, for fuck sake, are they all so small/shit in the air?

Comfortable with him being in that role is something of a climb down from "stand out" and "being in the team of the year". Let's be honest, this is the fault of Selles as much as anyone else. Making the same fucking personnel errors as Jones, and in fact he's actually doing little different except maybe a slight formation change. It's awful sideways football, shit subs and little to no game plan. We played a bereft Chelsea last week where you often get a reaction from players anyway (because it's big opposition) and then staked our prem survival on it. Tit.

Honestly, I think this is the right call by the club, regardless of what I think of Jesse as a coach. His appointment is a potential PR nightmare if nothing else and possibly a footballing one.
